I thought this was interesting. Someone posted a response they got back from Fotolia about the vector changes:

"Thank you for your e-mail. As we mentioned on the previous e-mail, Jpeg files and illustrations that comes with the Vector file format are only for Thumbnails.
Unfortunatelly the Vector file is no longer available in Jpeg format to submit it as Xs, X, M, L, XL, X licenses anymore."

I'm not really sure why they would do this.

This is the most stupid decision ever made - why the limitations?

Will they accept it, if the JPEG comes along as another upload?

Loads of people are asking this on the FT forums but still no answer. They really didn't think this one through.

This was from Mat on the Fotolia forums answering someone's questions:

For your first question..."1- Since you are now accepting EPS vectors, is it ok for us to upload EPS versions of previously uploaded JPEG's or SVG's?"

The answer is Yes it is OK to do so.  What they want you to do is put a note to the editor when you submit it with the number of of the jpeg you are replacing.  Once you have Uploaded your series of replacements with the note then email customer support with a list of the images you have uploaded and the corresponding image number being replaced.

Question number 2..."- And another question for future submissions.. With the new vectors, you are not offering jpeg version of EPS files.. So is it ok to also submit jpeg versions of EPS files to take advantage of maximum sales potential?"

This is a question that does not have an answer yet.  It's being discussed and as soon as there is an official answer they will let you know."

From what I've read it sounds like, as of now, they will delete an additional jpeg submission as a duplicate file. But, I guess they are discussing it. I'm still looking for the answer about repricing old vectors and when they plan on doing it. Hopefully, they won't do it for a while or not at all.

Anyone able to upload a ZIP file yet with the EPS? I'm trying to use the Flash uploader and it doesn't allow for ZIP file apparently.

I had no problems to upload a Zip file by ftp. Also there was no 2MB-limit. But most of the files will be a basis-vector for 4 credits.

I tried to upload zipped files to fotolia the preview showed but the metadata didn't appear, so I sent a query to fotolias support and they told me that that feature isn't live yet!

I still can't get an upload through. I'm making a ZIP file that contains the EPS and the preview JPG. But when I upload I get an error message saying that the vector file is not found.

I could only get mine through using the old school web uploader. It wouldn't work with any other method (ftp, flash etc.)
