I just signed up on Fotolia three days ago, and submitted five images... I uploaded another yesterday. The images are pending review, so I'm still in suspense.

What I don't understand is that on every other site, you have to submit a batch to "audition" but I didn't see any requirement on Fotolia.

Have I uploaded enough images? Do they have a minimum to start with? What is the average review time? Should I upload more, or wait?

Thanks, and I'm glad you enjoy people who ask a lot of questions.

It has been my experience that they just judge the images you upload on it's own merits-according to them. It doesn't matter who shot it. Though subjective, tough to get around, seems fair enough.

I think dreamstime also don't require a batch when you start, unless they have changed since I started.

I just started with Fotolia a couple of months ago and unless something changed, they don't have any audition qualification process. Just upload what you have.

Although they've had some problems, FT is starting to really pick up momentum for me and is my second highest earner behind IS. I would guess your models should do pretty well there.

Also, their approval times have been very fast. In some cases within 24 hours.

Cool: Thanks for the input (or is it output?)

BTW, Nazdravie, when I click on the link to your Fotolia portfolio from here I get an error Sad

Nazdravie, you need to give your member number, not ID, to have a correct link to FT.

Adelaide

modelocote, if you have just registered, than YOUR account is on pending! It takes 7-10 days to aprove your account. And then they will start reviewing your photos.

Modellocate, with FT you have to make sure that your most important or relevant keywords are in the first seven.  There is a facility to reorder your words at the upload and confirmation stage.

Any words outside of the top seven will NOT be used for searches.  You have to get it right at FT otherwise you will be disappointed.
