Is there anyone else who is qualified who hasn't received a code?

I'm in that situation, but wondered if the codes didn't all go out at once for whatever reason and they're not yet done.

A suggestion would be that in the contributor section on Adobe Stock, they could note that you were qualified/not; coupon issued (and perhaps put the number there as well as in email) or not. It'd save wear and tear on support staff :)

I've heard from a number of contributors who did receive the code in email but overlooked it when it arrived. The name of the sender is CompEXT. Double check your inbox and if it's not there, check your spam folder. If not there either and you are sure you are qualified please open a case via the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal.

Thanks,

Mat

I've checked and searched and nothing from CompEXT.

I didn't see anything about opening a case, but used the Contact Us from the contributor part of Adobe Stock, which I hope will get to the correct people

Yes, that's what I meant about opening a case. I'll look into this for you today and will let you know what I find.

-Mat

Mat, you're a treasure! Thanks.

I don't have an answer yet but did get an update to the case I submitted this morning (and that was by using the "Contact Us" link from the bottom of my Contributor Account page).

Mat confirmed that I am qualified but that my name was not on the list of codes sent out. Possibly others were similarly skipped.

Mat, you're a treasure! Thanks.

I can only say that Mat is really kind and precious person! He check my position giving me confirm I'm qualify, and the exact day when I should had received mail.
I checked again my mailbox: if this can help anyone else, the mail was in the spam folder NOT on my mail app, but on mail server side. If you can't find the mail on your pc check also on server, if possible.

Thanks again Mat for your time and for working for us :-)

Mat figured out the problem with my account - it may not apply to other people though.

My problem was that I haven't uploaded in 2018. I've been busy elsewhere and didn't realize that in addition to the sales minimum, I needed at least one upload approved in 2018. I've uploaded a small batch and should see my code shortly.

Thanks again Mat for your assistance

Mat, is the run closed or there are still places available for full plan?
I'm uploading many video clips but I haven't reached the 300 approved yet, I would like to know if I have to run... and run  ;D

Thanks

Exactly the same for me, thanks Matt for your help :)

This is weird. I searched my email and nothing there. However, when I was filling in my email search box, I started typint "CompEXT" and the field automatically got filled in with "[email protected]" indicating that there must have been an email from that address at some point. Nothing came back in my search...must have been deleted :(. Guess I will open a ticket as recommended

Okay, I just went on Adobestock site. I saw no way of opening a case, so I went into chat. The person at the other end wasn't even close to understanding the issue. I gave up and asked the representative if there was a way to put in a written request. The rep. said no, there is only chat and calling up an 800 number.

We don't have chat. You were at Adobe.com it sounds like. Go the the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal and click the link at the bottom of the page that says "contact us."

-Mat

Mat,

Thanks. I have submitted a request via "contact us" on Adobestock contributor. Hopefully it will get resolved.

Mat

I got a response back from Adobestock support: "You have uploaded  a total of 19 photos and 4 videos so far this year.
So far you are not on the qualifying list, but you might still receive a code this year for your earnings, please give it a few more weeks."

I have exceeded the $500 threshold a while ago. I don't get it?!? What gives?

I read the requirements carefully:

Either qualify by earnings OR by uploads.

Looks as though now they've changed that to earnings AND uploads - which is why a few of us haven't received the code. Would be nice if the new goalposts were clarified. Matt??

SAY WHAT???  They changed the rules and never notified us, even though we were told that the uploads alone would be sufficient???

If so, I take back every nice thing I ever said about this sh*** company!  Good way to lose support of your contributors, Adobe!    >:(

I'd relax your outrage.  The page says:
"There are two different software plans you can be awarded:

To receive a 1- year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan, be among the first 20,000 Adobe Stock Contributors to upload at least 300 accepted assets or earn $500 (USD) in royalties for the period Jan 1-Dec 31, 2018. To qualify, you must maintain at least a 50% acceptance rate of your submitted content.
To receive a 1- year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps plan, be among the first 2,000 Adobe Stock Contributors to upload at least 300 accepted video assets or earn $500 (USD) in royalties from videos for the period Jan 1- Dec 31, 2018.  To qualify, you must maintain at least a 50% acceptance rate of your submitted content.  "

Note the "or".

Note the "or".

That was my initial understanding too.  However, I qualified for that 300 assets accepted before they even announced this, and have more than 300 additional new assets accepted since that time.

But I have not received any coupon?  (I am nowhere near the dollar amount, as my Adobe portfolio was zero until April of this year)  I have also not received any response to my query to them to see if there was a problem somewhere (though the email to them was only sent Thursday, so it might be too soon to expect a response?)

Did you contact them via the adobestock contact link?...that is the recommended method. I had the >=$500 sales but <300 uploaded assets. The response I got within a couple of days was a little cryptic, but it sounds like they are still sorting things out.

Yep. That is how I sent the contact request.  In my case, I have well over the 300 assets, but well under the $500 royalties.

Better than 50% approval rate?

I got the following when i queried the "OR" statement.

The official response was this:-

Quote
If you have 300 approved videos and your acceptance rate is over 50% then you qualify and should receive your code in the next 3 to 4 weeks.

What earthly reason does Adobe need my date of birth for? Getting really tired of companies demanding enough personal info the create a new "me" if they choose to.

Side question for someone who never had Adobe cloud anything. I bought last stand alone versions when I could.

Say I get a photo software code for one year and it expires, what happens to the software? Do I have that last version and no updates, or is it crippled and no longer works?

Sean - while I agree about the over the top outrage of that poster; you obviously haven't been paying attention to previous posts. Have a read and you might see that some people are not experiencing the "or" bit and are getting a little of the "or + and" bit from Adobe.

However I'm confident Mat will chime in shortly to explain the situation of why for some "or" hasn't been sufficient.

Hi all,

Sorry for the delayed response, I had to take Friday off. Judging from the intensity of the conversation it looks like I'll never be able to do that again!  :o

I will do my best to answer the questions listed here. If I missed something, let me know.

The first wave of codes were sent out on Thursday August 16. Anyone that met the required qualifications before August 3 received their code(s) then. A number of people have contacted me and said they didn't get the code. Most of those people did actually receive it, they just missed it because the sender was listed as "CompEXT" and was perceived to be spam. In some cases, it was actually sent to the spam folder so be sure to check there if you haven't gotten it.

The email address the code was sent to is the email associated with your Fotolia account. Some contributors learned they hadn't updated their email address in Fotolia after making a change and didn't think to check their old email. If you don't have a Fotolia account then the code would have been sent to the Adobe ID you set your account up with.

If you have met the qualifying requirements after August 3 then you will receive a code very soon. Likely this week though I don't know the exact date.

The requirements are to have had at least 300 images, vectors or videos approved in 2018 with a 50% approval rate or greater....OR (emphasis on the word "OR") to have earned at least $500 in commissions in 2018. The disclaimer to the latter qualifier is that you need to have had at least one asset approved in 2018. This is noted in the terms and conditions:
https://stock.adobelanding.com/contributor-giveaway-terms/

To clarify...you do not need to upload 300 images, vectors or videos and also earn $500. It's one or the other to qualify and receive the code.

If you are confident you qualified before August 3 and you have checked your email archives for CompEXT and you have checked your spam folder and still don't see a code, please submit a ticket to Adobe Stock Contributor Support. You can do this by clicking the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the contributor portal. Someone (likely me) will get back to you as quickly as possible. Please note, I cannot provide support through private messages in MSG and definitely not through Facebook messaging. I will no longer respond to requests sent to my personal Facebook page for this information (though feel free to follow me on Instagram @mathaywardphoto ...yes...I know...shameless personal plug :) )

There are still plenty of codes available to qualify for. If you haven't already met the criteria there is still time for both CC and CCP so get busy!  I promise I will let you know in this thread if we reach the cap.

Re @Uncle Pete: I'm reasonably certain that as long as you still have the disk or the software on your computer for the non-cloud version of PS it won't become invalidated from downloading the Creative Cloud version onto your machine. I have a request for a definitive confirmation of this and will let you know when I receive it.

Thanks everyone. I hope you are enjoying your software and look forward to seeing what you create with it!

Hi Mat, are there still places available for photography plan? I synced my fotolia account just today.

And is it applicable also for contributors from Slovakia? I don't see Slovakia on the list of countries on information page:

thanks

Hi Mat,

Thanks for the clarification - all makes sense.
I have the "or", now I'm going to fulfill  "The disclaimer to the latter qualifier" (I'm so glad English is my native tongue!)

While not wanting to reduce the joys of CC on this particular thread - I do think you should know the ramification of using CC for just one year if you use stand alone products.
After the year is up you can start paying the subscription and have all the advantages of CC. However if you revert to stand alone products, you will find that all CC products will disappear and non of your Prem Pro projects will open in CS6. Probably the LR catalogues won't open. In fact just about anything created in CC won't be backward compatible (except generic stuff like tiffs & jpgs & mov files) and the software won't support Windows 7, 8 nor even some versions of 10. So, as far as I know - in practical terms - starting CC is a one-way street - there's no going back...........ever

FWIW, I kept the old Lightroom 6 on my system after signing up for CC a few years ago.  The LR6 continued to work without a hitch... with the exception that the library got updated in CC and was therefore no longer readable in LR6.

Just keep a copy of your current LR6 library when you use the code. If you really want to go back to LR6 afterwards, you can -- but I have a hard time believing anyone will use the current LR CC (Classic in my case -- I do not like the cloud version) and want to revert to LR6...
