Hi All,

We would like to let our contributor community know that we had to temporarily disable the ability to upload .eps vector files. We will report back when it's re-enabled again. You can continue to submit .ai vector files in the usual zipped format. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks,

Mat Hayward

Thankyou for the update!
I have many .eps files to be uploaded, when can I expect them to be enabled?

I guess that explains my issues this morning. Thanks for letting us know. I guess Adobe uploads are checked off my to do list.  ;D

Do you not want vectors any more? You already make it more difficult to upload by requiring zipped files...now you require a different file format than anyone else. Honestly, I'm not going to go back and resave everything as .ai.

How long is this going to take? How about an estimate? Is this just a bug being fixed? If you are considering changing the requirements you owe it to your contributors to let us know!

Illustrators are so shy. Imagine the uproar if they required zipped .gifs instead of .jpgs from photographers. ;)

I already have to make bigger jpegs, so requiring .ai would probably be the end for me. I don't mind the zip thing much. I have a good script for that.

My question is, if we upload .ai files instead of .eps files, do you convert them to .eps at your end? Or do they remain .ai files on the site?

Care to share the script please? It would be super handy.

It was in a thread. I guess you read it, but here it is again:

I've thought about switching over to PC at some point, but I have all these little scripts and stuff I'd have to figure out on a new platform. I guess if the stock world keeps going like it is, then none of it will matter.

Thanks for that. Guess I've had too many blows to the head. I had forgotten that conversation! I am still on a PC.

I can't submit any .ai files. only unzipped jpegs....I guess adobe will be missing a couple batches of my work. I hope you get your site working someday. I never had a problem like this with any other major site.

For 2 days i was trying to figure out what is wrong with my eps...  ::)
Should we wait for a fix in a near future (couple of more days) or should we save AI? I really hope it's the first one.

Hello Mat, can you give an estimate when the ability to upload EPS files will be re-enabled?

I asked the same question in the other thread, and he said he can not estimate yet, and he'll let us now..
