I believe they have subs since ever, at least from 2009 they do, anyway the main issue is going straight to subs instead of the regular credits
its the dollar club and now this as well, FT is becoming very interesting!

I am just saying they are now showing off even more the subs, when you click on a picture it goes directly to subs not the credits like it used to be so I see it as a counter attack once iStock introduced subs recently

oh man ok it can be counter attack from IS and then counter attack from FT, happy now? :)
-
regarding YAY I can tell you for free that sales are very low and I don't see many buyers getting subscription plans at least looking at my 1.93 € RPD
that said I don't upload to them since October 2012

It's not doing that for me.
-
pretty much its a big mess!
partners sales are reported like quarterly I guess, kind of gave up trying to figure that out
YAY lowest at 0.15 €, highest 7.5 €
Partners lowest at 0.1 € (ImageClick), highest 25.15 € (Ingram)
have sales from 8 different partners

"FT counter attacks IS"
Yes we all know that IS is ultimately responsible for the sub war.
Shutterstock is the leader in subscription royalty-free imagery
Snip
Shutterstock's pioneering strategy has helped it dominate the image subscription market amid an industry of imitators.
“We have earned our spot as the number one subscription imagery site by being inventive and by building our own successful business model,” said Jon Oringer, founder and CEO of Shutterstock.
“Others try to copy our 25-A-Day subscription, but customers are not fooled."

Luis is merely pointing out that soon after IS introduces subs, FT makes subs more prominent on their website. This thread is not about who started Subs first, nor about Shutterstock. This thread is about IS and FT and recent changes. Not about something started in 2004. Get over it.
-
Exactly, downloads at Shutterstock have been increasing while downloads at higher priced sites have been decreasing. No wonder all of these companies are introducing very cheap, unlimited, streaming, embed, or monthly subs plans.
You are doing extremely well as Getty IS exclusive, so why are you moaning in this thread about subs at FT?

Maybe you would do a lot better if you spread you work more. There is an argument for everything.

For different reasons as you are implying.

I think I would be doing a lot better if people weren't supporting these low priced subs giveaways.
You're supporting iStock, iStock has subs. Right? I don't know if you have any images in their subs programs and I don't really care but by being an iStock contributor you are also supporting their policies...by the simple fact of being a part of the company.

I won't be supporting them going forward if I can make that work.
You can make it work.....best of luck to you.
