If you can't log in, that has changed. Password is now usernamepassword.

If you upload, but they don't show up, ftp has been flaky. I started using the flash uploader.

I think Fotolia is no longer working nor it cares any more - I can't use FTP for 3 weeks now and I use the new password scheme. I sent a support request but they say they are going to correct it but they don't.

I think they screwed up big time with this new version of their site - nothing is working as it was and lots of bugs everywhere.

One more example: I was transferring funds to PayPal and to my surprise it transfered the funds to MoneyBooks. Once again I contacted them but they didn't reply. Now I don't know where my money is as it has disappeared from my account.

Ok. Thanks for the feedback.

Tinoni...I feel for you. I hope everything works out and you get your money back. I personally did not request for my money although I could as the whole system was so unstable. I decided to wait for a while until the system is stable before requesting for my money. I think I made the right choice after I hear your story.

That's a worry! I made a payment request yesterday, hopefully it will appear in my Paypal, I hope yours get found.

I havn't had any problems uploading, just using the 'normal form', reviews have taken minutes.

Also, downloads have been sporadic, however, I received a 50 credit EL yesterday, so I can't complain.

My sales were picking up quite nicely.  Then last week I uploaded about 20.  I also opened up each old file and fiddled around with the order of the keywords and made sure my pricing was correct for the ELs.

Havent had a sale since.  Haven't had a view on the new files yet.  Did I mess things up when I fiddled with all my files?  It seemed like things were really looking up till I did that.

Also, one previous submission has been in a pending state since July 11.

FTP work ok for uploading from UK to english site, reviewing fast sales sporadic but there is still life.

A good enough reason for me not to upload to FT just yet. Thanks for sharing, Pixart. I hope things pick up for you soon.

Apart from ELs, this is my BME in FT.  Of the 8 images I uploaded since the migration, I sold one and some of the others have views, so they're not totally at the limbo.

But I won't incentivate anyone to upload.  Go elsewhere.  Smiley

Adelaide

I resumed uploading to FT a few days ago.  I couldn't login via FTP despite trying every possible userid/password combination - good thing they have their browser plugin!

I'm uploading via their flash thing.  It seems okay.  Keywording etc is still a pain.

Views and sales have increased, which, given the time of year, is reasonably encouraging.

I deleted all old files that were missing keywords and uploaded them again.

Note: I don't believe FT are actually sorting the historical keyword problem; what I think they are doing is approving nearly all new submissions, which then get keywords added to the library; in this way they hope to repair the lost words from the past.  What it means, though, is that any old file with unusual keywords (like 'microlight') will probably be lost forever unless a new file is uploaded with that keyword.  Best thing is to go back and delete any specialised image and upload it again.  Just my view.....

I know I'm cynical, but I see a picture of two men and a dog sitting at a 486 computer somewhere in India or Vietnam manually typing in the top seven keywords for each new submission.........

What problem are you having?  Isn't IPTC working?

Yes, IPTC works fine.  It's the subsequent sorting of the top seven most important keywords that takes up my time.

I already put the seven most relevant ones at top.  In fact, I've always put the most relevant keywords first, even before joining FT, so I don't have this extra effort.

Ditto.

I'd even go so far as to say that visualizing the most important seven keywords to describe an image helps me.
