Congratulation... I hope for you many more. Because my sales there are so slow at this time, but let the designer finish their vacancy first. Do they finished it. gosh

Congrats on your first sales Smiley
I had a very slow holiday period with them but they seem to be back on track the last 2 days.

I'm with you Vonkara.

I have over 150 files there.
Lots of looky-loos, but only four sales  Undecided
SS is still my best, with IS a close second.

Man wait to you get into SS you really are going to be yelling. Congratulations. Oh by the way I didn't get a chance when you posted
your critique thread for SS but I would be careful with the blur people shot I guess at the airport, SS always shoots me down for focus image is not in focus or focus is not where we feel it works best Good
luck with your application.

I had the  same feeling for FT until a month and half ago when the sales started for me. I am on Ft since Sept 22 2007. May be you have to wait a bit.

vonkara, you can not expect some serious sales with 100 images in portfolio.

I have my biggest portfolio on FT (600+) but did not see any increase in sale from a portfolio at 300+ despite that my pictures are better I think, FT is clearly not very productive site for me Sad

What happens when you hit over 100 images that sales suddenly improve?

I did not expect some serious sales there. But you have to agree that 1 sale per month is ridiculous compared to the sales at Stockxpert for example.

If I say that I don't like Fotolia, it's because I did better elsewhere and my sales at Fotolia are not equivalent. That even whit a bigger portfolio than I have for example at Stockxpert. I probably over estimate the capability of Fotolia there... But I continue to upload and I will see if it's going up.

If anybody have a tip about keywording at Fotolia about...Do you use multiple words like "road signal" for example there or you keep the words separated?

Thanks for any advice

I have a real ammiration for how you managed to put up a so huge portfolio. I wonder how much time you dedicated to that task.

Problem is that for us slow people with a portfolio ranging in the 100-200 number a site with an average of 1-2 downloads for image is pretty unsatisfactory. I started to upload at FT again after months and till now I got downloads only from a couple of 3d renders.

Fotolia is my 3rd highest earning site behind IS and SS and they're the only other site besides IS that is showing consistent growth for me.

Vonkara,

I've been told that ordering your keywords is very important on Fotolia. So if your title is "Sunny Beach" then put Sunny at the top of the key word order list and Beach 2nd. Another example would be "Tall Tree" with Tall at the top followed immediately by Tree.

I hope this helps improve your results at Fotolia Smiley

I have found Fotalia has picked up for me this month - most of the pics that have sold are those of vacation spots so perhaps everyone is needing summer images right now - who knows - but it has definately been better.

OK thanks. I will stop using multiple words for my keywords. The thing who is strange, it's sales barely stop since I changed the alphabetical order of my keywords to the most relevent at the top. I'm going to look further at my keywords there soon.
