Or are Fotolia rejecting nearly everything lately?

Probably depends on what you're sending... subject matter could be a big factor.  I haven't seen a rejection in a while.  Maybe one every few months out of 100 or 120 images.

Don't even try submitting nature, landscapes or travel shots. That gets rejected consistently.
Do people isolated on white and simple concepts. Not that they don't have more than enough of those, but they will accept it - less time wasted.

I have to disagree with Elena - you can submit landscapes or nature shots, just make sure they're good. But indeed - studio shots are what they like most.

People isolated on white are easy to get accepted, true, but I don't find they sell all that well anymore, because the market is so oversaturated with them.

+1

My whole portfolio is nature, wildlife, landscape, travel. And my acceptance rate is quite ok (although they sometimes do reject more than the other big agencies).

I know! ... Smiley But if you want higher acceptance, that's what you do.... Or office scenes, endless business people in meeting rooms...
That stuff is easy to get accepted, but then it won't sell anywhere as much as some really good travel or nature shot (if you ever manage to get that through).
My advice above was on how to get less rejections, not how to make more sales... Wink

Currently I have no problem getting my nature, wildlife and travel images accepted. I think they are very lenient at the moment. At some point last year I also experienced I period of abnormal high rejections. On the other hand I don't know why I still submit to FT because very few new images sell. It is very frustrating to see 'n small group of old (I mean like four years old images) that keeps selling every day, while I know I have since uploaded much better images of the same subject.
