Hi all

I've noticed over the last few weeks that I am getting very few (if any) views on my small port in FT.  Before that I used to get quite a few.  Anybody experiencing a similar problem?

There is over 500 000 results for the keyword "travel" and "landscape". Your images got buried in my opinion

At Fotolia when your images are new they appear on the front page of the default sort order (thus plenty of views). Unless they then attract sufficent sales to maintain their position over time they will slip down the order (thus fewer views).

I'd imagine it's probably the same problem that's happening at all the other sites, too many people have read books and blogs saying how easy it is too sell their photos on microstock, now any new images you upload are just getting lost in the crowd.
I don't think there's much you can do about it other than finding one of those who encouraged all this competition by book or blog and thanking them in the way you feel is most appropriate  Tongue

I'm wondering if the site is still running. I've had no downloads since Nov. which is odd. They used to place 4th or 5th each month.

Huh
I'm having a BWE at Fotolia.  So far they're about tied with iStock as my #2 site this month.

Not doing well for me.
-  Uploads after Jan 4th have ZERO views.
-  Sales I'm getting are miniscule.  RPD this month is an all-time low at $0.41 average.
-  Even 123 is doing better, which says a lot

I must not be the only one having a bad start to 2011, I sold 3 subs one day - that's 93 cents - and my ranking jumped by 1500 spots.

LOL!  It might not make the sales situation better, but it would sure burn off some pent up frustration Grin

Oh, and to answer the original question, views have returned to normal for me.  They were a bit slow right after the holidays.

My #'s are down pretty significantly this month but that has more to do with the price decrease than anything else.  I'm finding my rank is improving however so that tells me it's just a soft start to the year.

With just 33 images in your portfolio I am not sure how much action you can realistically expect even in the best of circumstances.

Get busy!

Mat

Things should pick up from now on sales-wise and views-wise (this is already happening). First couple of weeks of January is always very slow.
