The increase is welcome, thanks. BUT, I am Sapphire and I am getting the same royalty as Gold. Shouldn't higher rank mean a higher royalty?

Matching Shutterstock subs royalties is another great move by Adobe, after granting us one year of free cloud subscription!

Nice to see those 38 cents rolling!

Next step is to match SS sales volume and, why not, take over #1 position.

Looks to me like they are working on that. One way to speed up the process might be to offer more attractive exclusive content terms for contributors. I for one would take advantage of that by only uploading my best work to AS while spreading the leftovers around to the others. An interesting way AS could build a great library and differentiate themselves even further. As it stands though their terms aren't incentive enough to give up the aggregate.

If AS starts taking editorial, I'll have no use for any other agencies except SS and AS.

Yes, wouldn't it be nice if this forces SS to up the ante for our work. And yes, if AS offered an exclusive program, by image like FT did, I'd go for that too. Right now that is missing from the AS site but was still allowed on FT.

This is when competition helps us for a change, instead of driving prices and values down. Good to see that AS also holds up the review standards, and rejects spam, junk and duplicates. Seems like Adobe has some respect for artists, instead of treating us like trash. I like them better every day.  8)

They can't afford it.

They are sitting on a pile of cash with a million new images a week they don't need to. I would imagine there are very few serious players in Microstock who don't upload to them.....despite how much they complain about them.

When even the Janitor makes over $100,000 at their New York City office they cannot afford to give any artists a raise for sure  :-\

They held prices down when their only serious rival at the time, iS, was trying to raise theirs.

Setting a good example to the rest of the industry!!!

Hopefully this will become something that happens every now and again to help contributors offset the effects of inflation.

Its good but matching the market leader is not really "setting an example"....lets not get carried away ;-0.

forgot to put in my income on the survey thus added yesterday for August. Notice the slight increase on AdobeStock now. Makes me wonder if everyone would do the survey that maybe AdobeStock would be in first place?

For me SS is still no 1 but steady at best Adobe has been rising and it seems IS may be starting to as well.....but the gap remains quite large (about 1/2). I think it would take time for adobe to catch them but it may happen.

Great stuff Mat, Adobe and Alamy give me hope for the industry.

Now if you could just accept regular editorial... ;)

Is this increase for photos or video too?

Adobe is doing things well. That move to give us a free year of Adobe cloud. Outstanding!
Thanks and great work.

I had noticed that the numbers for subs had increased but didn't know the reason - thanks for the explanation.  The last time I remember an agency raising rates to contributors without decreasing them somewhere else was - never!  Makes me want to start uploading again.  FT/Adobe is the only agency actually increasing from year to year so keep up the good work!  If you start accepting regular editorial you can easily overtake SS to become number one.
