What do you think of the new Fotolia watermark?  Look at this image for example.  It will take me 15 seconds to clone out the small 'Fotolia' letters and have a perfectly usable web size image without a trace of a watermark.  I wonder why they have changed it.

In my opinion it looks cheap.  What is is, default arial font?  At least before it look stylised.  How much processing power did they waste converting all the thumbs??

It is really tacky, hopefully they'll fix it up pronto...  Some of the folks with high quality images suitable for web work will be fairly unhappy with this!

I'd not actually paid any attention to them until I saw this post, although I had noticed it was different...  Asleep at the wheel it would seem!

I am guessing no processing power was used.

You can program it such that the watermark is overlaid the original thumbnail in 'real time' when the viewer looks at the image.

opinion about the watermark however?  hmm.. yeah, it looks like it is from the 90's when graphics weren't a part of the web. Sad  i hope it is just temporary

I had already said in another thread, it's a weak watermark.

The only positive thing is that they have black and white watermarks, depending on the image.

This is a now old issue that has not been yet addressed, so I posted a suggestion in FT Forum.

I do not like new watermark, it is so easy to remove on some images. Old one was better.
