Well I doubt many of us are producing 30 mp images but the extra small is 300 x 400. I am listing earnings for non-exclusive newbies (earning 33%)obviously if you are bronze are higher the earnings will be greater.

XS 300 x 400    33c
S   600 x 800    66c
M     1.9 MP       99c
L     3.7 MP   $1.32
XL   7.8 MP   $1.65
XXL   15MP   $1.98
XXXL 30MP   $2.31
Vectors         $2.31

I have added a comparison table to my microstock guide

I've had a couple of XLs today at 1.95$.  Nice it brings it more in line with the other sites.

Fin'que, there is a small error in your fact sheet - it's seven for the most important keywords.

That's a very good thing but there's nothing for me at 12mpx like there are at Istock

I hope and pray that FT are able to implement these price changes without the disruption caused by V2.

However, I usually sell ten to twelve pictures a day at FT......

...... and today I have sold only one (at the old price).

I hope this is a 'one off' or they are late in reporting sales.  But I have a feeling in my bones (and they are very old bones).

When are they implementing the new pricing?  I'm still seeing the same old prices.

I've had about 20 sale today.  The first sales were at old pricing and somewhere between 2pm and 4pm the new pricing came into effect and all my downloads after this time were at the new rate.
Sales have been fairly normal for me today so those of you that are reporting low sales it's probably just coincidence.

nice to see.  to bad the xxxl size is 30 MP though.. only medium format reaches that - it would have been nice if it was 21 MP like the canon 1DS mark III

Well it's good to see the increased prices - FT's prices have been too low.

But it's customary to give customers some notice of price increases - both BigStock and iStock made their announcements a month or so ahead of the event.  This change at FT has been implemented all of a sudden, with no prior warning. Even the contributors at their forums are surprised.

It's a good thing, and I hope it is implemented smoothly.  Reassuring comment from fotografer.

My downloads have been normal and I am now getting the higher prices.  This is nothing like V2 Smiley

That's reassuring sharpshot.  BTW I saw your earlier comments that sales for you have recovered from the Christmas/January slump.  Mine have also recovered apart from StockXpert which for some reason is languishing nearly 50% down from October/November levels.  This was my first experience of the Christmas 'lull' and whilst I expected a large drop I didn't expect that to continue as far into January as it did.  Hopefully that period is now over and done with (sigh of relief).

Same here

About Fotolia sales .........  I haven't really noticed any changed from yesterday. From other site's experience introducing the XS size you see a 30% increase in sales.

I agree with above comments, change is good but it should have been done smoothly not that buyers would mind the "slight" increase but it would have been more professional had it been announced before hand .
anyway I am happy to hear price increase I hope that is the first step increase and will be more to come sometime soon (I don't want to sound greedy but I think increases prices has good impact on sales,at least this has been my experience with IS and BS  )

It was nice to see 4 credits for an L image this afternoon.  Smiley

But indeed, it would have been more professional towards buyers to say in advance.

Regards,
Adelaide

PS: Would they allow me to reupload my illustrations at a larger size (XXXL)?

When are they implementing the new pricing?  I'm still seeing the same old prices.

Just had my first XS sale, so indeed it's working now.  Woohoo!

It's great to see them finally step in line with the other sites.  I've been peeved about their pricing ever since they first announced the XL size would start at 7.8 MP just two weeks after I bought my first DSLR...a 6 MP Nikon D70s.  That didn't sit too well with me, because my camera cost as much as Canon's equal at the time, which was 8 MP.  It's great that the photos I shot with my D70s will now start earning decent commissions, like they already do elsewhere.

I was surprised to see the changes last night and felt its effect already twice.
I had one XL sale for 5 credits and one of my exclusive images there sold for 4 credits for a small instead of 2. Smiley
