Number of sales dropped, but RPD and some nice video sales gave me two decent months. Overall and weekly position has dropped

Someone in this thread suggested something Ive been thinking for years. Every download is counted towards your rank (credit sales/subscription), but I think footage downloads should count as double or even quadruple, as they're less frequent, which makes it unfair for videographers.

Yes,
if not synced, your files won't appear at Adobe site.

since half march falling down...in addiction not only poor download, most of new files like ss are buried after 5 minutes, but most download are pid cry low, i had a lot of 7,5 dollar till march, now mostly few cents, same like ss.
personally i think all those  website offering free content , and good content , are impacting a lot the industry.
in addiction to the zillions of fils uploaded by desperate contributors all around the world.

my may sales incredibly down on fotolia, my weekly rank constantly down, almost 50% down in two weeks, this situation is very frustrating...

I am following this thread with interest. I'm seeing growth in many accounts but would like to understand why some of you are not.

@Madman will you answer the following questions for me please?

How many files are in your account?
How long has it been since you have submitted new content?
When you most recently submitted new content, how many files did you submit?
Have you synced your Fotolia account with Adobe Stock yet?
If not, why not?

Thanks,

Mat

Thanks for your care Mat, a few years ago, my earnings were constantly increasing on fotolia, but over the last few months, it is getting down... maybe I need to work much harder now for sell more images...

I have over 5000 images on my fotolia account,
I am constantly uploading files to fotolia,
last few days ago I uploaded about 50 images (not exactly sure)
Ive synced my Fotolia account with Adobe Stock Immediately after you say it,
I never tried to go into the adobe portal before.

It sounds like you are doing everything right. Consistent uploads is key to getting regular sales. Of course the quality and subject matter you are shooting makes a difference. It's critical that we all continue to evolve our style to keep up with the changing trends of stock. What was popular five years ago might be considered cliche today. I have no idea what your work looks like, I'm only stating in general terms.

Two main things Adobe Stock customers are looking for...authenticity and diversity. We no longer need images of two white guys wearing suits and shaking hands in front of a seamless white backdrop...real people with real expressions, doing real things in real locations is what I'm finding sells consistently.

If you haven't already read the blog on the 2018 visual trends, I highly recommend you do so to get an idea of the type of content we are looking for: https://blogs.adobe.com/creative/worlds-eyes-2018-visual-trend-forecast-adobe-stock/

Good luck!

Mat

No, this is not true. All accepted files uploaded to Fotolia are automatically online at Adobe Stock and all content uploaded via Adobe Stock that is approved is automatically online at Fotolia.

Syncing your account does not impact your sales or search visibility. I was only asking out of curiosity.

I've noted all of your comments. I consider the feedback in this forum to be one of the most valuable and effective tools I have in communicating the needs of contributors all around the world to the Management team at Adobe Stock. While I can't always respond in detail to each post, please note that I am reading your comments and referencing them whenever I can in an effort to drive change to improve the experience for contributors.

Thank you very much!

Mat

All new contributors only have the option to use the contributor portal. While it still has a long way to go, the majority of our engineering resources directed at the contributor experience are pointed at the contributor portal. It's entirely up to you which UI you prefer but as time goes on the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal is getting more intuitive and easier to use.

It's good to sync so you can determine for yourself which option is better. If you prefer Fotolia then no harm in syncing and sticking with Fotolia.

Adobe Stock (customer side) causes Firefox't tab to crash. After locking in, the tab would crash when I do a search.

The contributor side is similar, the tab would crash just when I click the sign in button.

This happens with OS X 10.9.5 + Firefox v60.0.1 (I think any "Quantum" version would do). I have to switch to Chrome (which I don't like) if I need to use AS site.

There is no problem with Firefox in OS X 10.11.6 though. But 10.11.6 is not my main OS.

I will try using AS site more often if it's fixed  ;D

Much prefer the Adobe Portal for uploading & submitting but still use Fotolia for data for my accounts etc.

I'd prefer it if Adobe allowed both portals to run alongside each other without trying to push customers over to Adobe Stock when they search for or, use a FT bookmark. Or, if Adobe take on FT's credit system so to avoid the drop in earnings from missing out on those larger credit sales.... could you just flick a switch Matt and implement that  ;D

Would be cool to have a fotolia / adobe tab on the contributor sites.  Seemless flipping kind of thing.

Adobe Stock/Fotolia is actually doing well for me.  I'm at about $1,200 for the month so far, but that only makes up about 9% of my overall income for the month when you take all other agencies into account.

Adobe Stock/Fotolia is quickly becoming my third agency, overtaking Storyblocks.

Hello Matt and people.
In Fotolia's statistics on views, are the views of the two sites, Adobe and Fotolia?
Thank you

I put extra effort in the past year to upload photos and videos to Adobe, and I saw a huge increase in sales and am very happy with the results.

No, the view statistics on Fotolia are only referencing Fotolia views. We do not have a view tracker in Adobe Stock at this time.

Adobe Stock is my best agency this year. I upload every single week new images and footages now I have more than 6k files online. My accepting ratio is excellent. I earn more than last year. I was hoping that this is the key for success But in last time, last weeks, my sales are going down. It is becoming strange. I don't see any reason why. Despite the fact that I never stop uploading and I have "all season" images and footages, my sales are going down. My weekly rang is going from 750 to 1400.. And every week is little higher. I write this because this week is even poorest. Btw My lowest earning agencies like 123rf or Dreamstime sales better than Adobe this week. Why this happens?

Hope you guys are doing well and sales and earnings are still ok.

Regards
