Topic: 5 years of market share Stats

Here is a table of my earnings for the last 5 years and how much % each site contributed to the overall income.

Fotolia got into the game late (their first point in the graph is in 2006 and their share has grown surprising much.  The other surprise is the 'others' which constitutes Canstock, Veer, Panther, Yay, Lucky Oliver, etc... all the sites I don't find it worthwhile to give them their own graph.  But their % is increasing so I'll soon have to pick the best sites from Others and put them in their own graph.  Dreamstime seems to be falling behind some of the other sites unfortunately.  It is still one of my favorite  (and most fair) sites.

iStock hasn't been given a very fair representation here.  I haven't uploaded to iStock very faithfully at all in the last 4 years and the graph clearly shows this.  I have 1000 images on iStock and 5000 on the other sites.  I constantly see a really good RPI for iStock and I think they should probably be near the top of my graph, if only I had more images online.  I have started uploaded to them a little more adamantly recently but at 25 a week I don't think I their 'share' of my graph will increase very quickly, if at all.  Which in a way, then, this graph shows somewhat correctly how iStock is becoming less of an income earner for non-exclusives who are limited by the strict upload limits.

anyone else have some juicy stats to share Smiley

Very interesting stats Tyler!  Thanks for sharing them.

I have pretty much the same images on all sites across the board.  If I had the software to make a similar graph I would be happy to post it.

Interesting. This looks similar to what I have noticed, except for iStock. I've been surprised by how much they have grown despite having less images. Anyway, I agree that Fotolia is growing, Dreamstime seems to be shrinking, and Shutterstock while still good may have stagnated a little. Maybe, it's time for Shutterstock to do some Spring cleaning.

I went for a stacked graph.  One interesting fact jumps out: that I haven't seen a significant new player since StockXpert in 2006.  Everyone else was already in place the year I started submitting.  (Whether you consider SX a major player is another topic for a different thread.)

I have only 2 years in microstock. Here is earnings split between my 3 top earners:

Two months ago I posted some pie charts for all my microstock agencies in Pixels Away blog. Others include FT, StockXpert, BigStock, 123RF, CNS, Veer, FP.

Here you go! Five years. But I have to admit that I've been much more consistent in my uploading in the past year or so...

Do you have your %'s for each year?  I can make the graph for you if you give me the %'s.

Here is my 4 year graph. Unfortunately FT is doing well enough to keep me non exclusive at IS, and IS is not growing fast enough  Undecided
