According to my last year of earings there are no BIG6 anymore. What I see it a BIG3+2.
IS, SS, FTL are the real BIG ones while DT and StockXpert are the +2. The 3 are close to each other in monthly earnings, DT and StockXpert are 1/3 of any of them. All the others are out of the map. Do you see the same picture?

For me StockXpert is still somewhere between FT and DT.

And it more BIG 1 + 3 + 1.... the BIG 1 being IS.

You are right, I forgot StockXpert. They are still there. So for me it is BIG3+2. I am going to edit my post above.

hey Nitor,

for me, StockXpert ist the number 2 site in sales. I guess different portfolios work different and on the agencies.
IS is only #6 out of 7, because I only have a small fraction of my portfolie online at IS

I'd agree with the Big 4+2 although the way things are going at DT I really wonder how long they'll be classified within the Big 4.

Static sales, ridiculous default sort-order, plummetting RPD (this month lowest since Jul 08) and silly 'too many' rejections do not give me much confidence for the future.

They stack up that way for me also!  Except I've lost some gas at SS since I decreased my upload rate!

I've got the big 2 + 4. IS makes up a 3rd, SS makes up another 3rd and the the rest of the Big 6 makes up the last 3rd. Dreamstime used to sit comfortably in my number three spot, but it has fallen back into the rest of the pack.

Big 2 (IS/SS) + 2 (DT/FT) + 2 (StockXpert/BigStock)
        76%          15%              6%

1(SS) + 3(DT,123,StockXpert) + 2(FT+IS) and the rest. I think this is result of what types of photo I shoot and my laziness in trying to overcome IS upload system. Almost each one 10x more images online than IS. When I feel guilty that I am not trying harder on IS I start uploading and then I loose interest after 3 weeks.

FT and IS make around 50% of my microstock sales, DT and StockXpert with around 30%, although there are months, like last month, when DT alone represents 40% of my earnings.

SS = 36%
IS = 25%
Ft = 15%
Dt = 10%
SX = 4.5%
BS = 3.3%
assorted other sites make up the remaining 6%

I would say this varies from person to person on how much effort an individual spent or is how popular their work is on a given site, for me personally and based on two year revenue spread I get:

Shutterstock 50%
iStock 16%
Dreamstime 11%
Fotolia 8%
123 RF 7%
Stock Expert 7%
Veer 1%
BigStock 1%

So still more or less qualifying to be called a Big 6 for the top earners...

"1(SS) + 3(DT,123,StockXpert) + 2(FT+IS) and the rest."

That's indeed my experience after 14 months in this game and a portfolio of 600 to 900 images of non-people.
 Interesting to see how eachones experiences are quite different.  Roll Eyes
