and look at the sites that are in the poll.  No fotolia, no stockxpert.

So two observations - interesting that fotolia and stockxpert managed to bring themselves to the top of the pack, and interesting how the other sites have all stayed in the same position.

Wow! In 2006 I didn't have a camera.  Cheesy
It is really interesting to have a look at the past Smiley

Nice to see how things change. Makes me wonder how sites will rank in.. oh let's say 5 years time. I'm having high hopes for Stockexpert to keep rising (like it doesfor me in the past few months) but really anything could happen. Maybe even a new startup that proves to be really succesfull (ok not very likely but who knows!)

But they weren't included in the poll which doesn't prove anything, except their name was left out?  Grin They did get into the market, beta Sept. 2005, when Micro was still growing fast and did a good job. I agree.

In the same time period IS has about 6000 new photographers, maybe more. The number of photographers is three times what it was in Jan 2006. That leads me to believe that StockXpert also grew at a fast rate during the same time.

Who is the mysterious Orbit that claimed he was making $100 a day on IS back then, and hasn't been back to the forum since 2006? There are currently 15 users who get 100 or more DLs per day on IS. Not $100, but 100 DLs.

No comment on Fotolia, check back next October.  Wink
