Topic: Easter holidays in USA&UK and uploading

I've checked the calendar for holidays and it's on Sun&Mon, but is it wise to even upload during that week, especially on sites like SS? I think the photos could just be wasted, like uploading on 26th Dec, right after Christmas and boxing day. Most of the people would still be on holidays. Or do people usually return to work on Tue normally and start buying content like there was no holiday? I'm asking because in my country that would be the case and there's no Easter school holidays (like there are in the UK), just Easter Sun&Mon and then life continues like nothing happened (unlike on Christmas, when nobody really works and everybody is (dead) drunk).

In Canada Easter is mostly just a weekend, not much for holidays at all.  In Norway most people take the whole week off (this week) plus next Monday.

In the UK we are off work on Friday and Monday for Easter, then on Friday 26th for the Royal wedding, (it is a public holiday), then on Monday 2nd May for May day Bank holiday.
A lot of people are taking next week off because you only need to use 3 of your holiday days, and you are off work for 11 days!

Tnx, that was the reply I was looking for. So I'll just UL on the 3rd on SS and try to shoot something in the meantime.

Sounds like a good idea, I think I will do that myself. Happy Easter Cheesy

Once upon a time... when review at Shutterstock took only a few hours and pictures were online and indexed the day after uploading, timing was essential.

Now that tens of thousands of pictures are being uploaded every day and review takes anywhere between a few hours and 3 days, there are so many random factors that holidays are only a minor issue imo.

This may be true of photos, I don't know, but I have found that if I submit vectors on Sunday or on Monday morning, they will almost always appear for sale on Tuesday or Wednesday on SS. Thursday at the latest.

My average sales for a weekday on SS are 5x those of the average weekend day. And a few extra sales may make the difference between your images being buried or clawing their way to the top of searches. At least that is what I have been told.
