My favourite time counting all those pennies

SS 43.6%

DT 16.3%
iS 11.1 %
FT 9.6%

BigStock 5.9%
StockXpert 5.6%
123 5.4% * using 30c per subscription DL

FP 0.9%
SPM 0.8%
CanStockPhoto 0.7%

Quite surprising performance from DT earning double their usual and this was before the new prices. BigStock also earned double.

Best month across the board with the exceptions of FT + 123, and the last three.

yeah, dreamstime is taking a big part of the pie for me as well.  SS as always is high - otherwise things are pretty much the same.

Here are mine:

SS 35%
iS 33 %

DT 12%
FT 10%

StockXpert 5%
BigStock 2%
123 1%
FP 1%

iS is doing very well for me, I have picture that sold over a hundred times in less than 8 weeks.

Opla

Those 103 DLs at iStock are well deserved after having to PS out all the brand names on all those containers

Leaf

Have you been uploading to SS lately? just wondering how much sales will drop if I cease my aggressive portfolio building

Here are mine:

I did not count the up and coming they are really neglectible, together with BS.

IS 30% increased 25 cents Smiley ~ 0,2 %
SS 30% decreased ~ 18%
DT 18% increased ~ 30%
StockXpert 11,3% increased ~30%
FT 10,7 %  increased ~ 30%

Lets not forget, Febuary had 3 less days than January..

My first full month shooting stock:

SS: 67% of total revenue, sales up 101% from Jan, $1.30/image
IS: 22%, +53%, $1.70/image
DT: 8%, +247%, $0.20/image
FT: 3%, +228%, $0.21/image

Total revenue was up by 120%, which makes me happy, but I'm very unhappy with the performance of DT & FT. On the bright side, DT is close to generating a payout each month, and FT is half way there.

Sales up month on month by 29% with a 78% increase in porfolio size.

           Jan     Feb
SS       66%   50%
StockXpert     13%     7%
IS         7%    14%
FT        5%      9%
DT        3%    14%
FP        4%      1%
BS        2%      3%
CanStockPhoto      1%      2%

ShutterStock was still top for me in sales, making half my total revenue.
Top performers were IStock, Dreamstime and Fotolia.
Worst were Stockxpert (due to search default change, since my portfolio is new) and FeaturePics, and well, forget CanStockPhoto (CantSellPhoto)  Cool

Between 1000-3000 pix online depending on agency stopped submitting pictures to DT,FL and BigStock several months ago.

I'm pretty new to this, and freely admit that I am in awe of some of the portfolio's I see online, but I'm working on it.

Shutterstock     61%
BS                     17%
FT                      14%
IStock                5%
DT                      2%
123RF                1%

To be fair the top 3 I was with from the beginning of the month, whilst the others I have only started submitting during Feb.

Up till now, SS had always been in 1st place, but this month, it ranked 2nd, IS performed very well.  SX comes 3rd and DT 4th.
The other sites (in order BS FL FP LO CS 123 RF) performed less than 10%

Just updated my blog/informercial so here is a cut and paste of the results:

33% shutterstock
19% istockphoto
14% dreamtime
7% fotolia
7% 123RF
7% StockXpert
6% bigstockphoto
3% Featurepics
3% LuckyOliver
0% Galastock
0% Canstock

SS and IS are taking of, both because I am getting more images up.

LO had a BEM.  Sales were up and while not big, was a definate improvement.  Already had a couple today so hopefully this is a good sign that now that they are marketing, the DL will follow.

FT was a disappointment.  123 and StockXpert came out equal in the end after a couple of XL DL at the end for StockXpert to even it up.

For the first time in 8 months, IS comes ahead of everyone else,

IS                 25%       Down 20% from Jan.
DT                25%       Down 32% from Jan.
SS                20.8%    Down 46% from Jan. one of the worst month, actuall download has been down over 50% from the past average when I upload a lot ( I have not been uploading much recently )
BigStock              8.3%      Down 12% from Jan.
StockXpert              6.9%      Up 37% from Jan

So accross the board I am experiencing a bad month, and SS continues to lose market share, even though I uploaded about 30 recently, with 740 on line, the result is not very encouraging from SS.

wow, i am surprised how well istock is doing for a number of people, and how many people aren't submitting to istock Smiley

Istock would be doing better for me too i suppose if i managed to get a higher % of images online there.

to answer fintastique about how much SS drops when you stop uploading.

Last year, it dropped about 2/3 when I stopped uploading.  I stopped uploading there for about 6 months, so got a pretty good idea.

I never tried the table, neat!  I hope I can find this next month to copy the table! Cheesy

Site Jan Feb Mar Apr
IS 32% 35%
DT 13% 18%
FT 18% 11%
StockXpert 15% 14%
CanStockPhoto 4% 6%
BigStock 7% 2%
123 4% 3%
FP 5% <1%
LO 1% 2%
IV 0% 7%

IV maybe should not be here, given it's eventual result (one sale only so far).  IS price structure makes me happy: I got an average of 60c per download.

Regards,
Adelaide

iS - 53.3% BME
SS - 15.0%
DT - 12.9% BME
FT - 6.6%
StockXpert - 5.9%
BigStock - 4.3%
123 - 1.0%
LO - 0.4%
CanStockPhoto - 0.1%
no sales at FP and Crestock

Definitely can see that I'm finally getting a good number of pictures up at iStockphoto, taken a while due to the upload limits.

For  third month in a row I continue to be lop-sided....

SS      82%
BigStock      7%
DT        5%
StockXpert      4%
LO        1%
123      1%
FP         0
USPS     0
FT          Inactive at this time.

SS again far out-sells all the others for me!  Interestingly, I have the largest portfolio on BigStock, DT & LO.  SS only has about 75% of the pix on the other three and StockXpert about 50% of the photos.
One thing about SS that amazes me. Of all the pix I have there, SS has sold almost 80% of the portfolio.  I guess they know their customers.  I'm very happy with my SS results.
I'm going to try my hand at IS this weekend, see if they let me in the club.     Cool -tom

Site    Jan   Feb   Mar   Apr
SS     37%  19%
DT     22%  14%
IS      22%  21%
FT     14%  18%
FP       1%   2%
StockXpert    4%   10%
LO      0%   16%

A couple of extended license sales in IS, FT, and LO and none this month in SS shifted the results a lot.  Bottom line: Best month ever in terms of total sales and IS is number one for the first time.

PS: I must be totally goofy as I could not get the auto table thing to work .

Haven't got time to do the maths but I do know that IS is getting very frustrating for me; falling downloads, annoying upload limits and procedure.

Fotolia continues to be my highest earning site, followed by IS (despite it's flaws), then SS and DT. DT sales have slowed quite a bit for me but hoping revenues pick up with the new prices.

Feb was a pretty good month for BigStock and StockXpert. 123rf still languishing behind these but in front of CS.
