Topic: Slow start of the October?

(Read 2193 times)

I have noticed that when a month begins on the last days of the week (Thursday, Friday), then these 2 days are slower than normal. This month things looks the same at least for me. Maybe people though that they will start buying from the new week Wink ?

If i were you i´ll try to see this as a big picture, not in therms of a couple of days. I´m pretty new in the bussines, but i realized that to see good results, i have to concentrate more in working new ideas that watching the daily incomes. And of course when i check my numbers i do it in monthly periods, not day by day  Shocked

Excuse me for pointing it out, but one day? We're on the second day, under 36 hours, and you are already projecting bad sales for Oct.? Why do I find this humorous?  Grin

Does this explain the better sales on the 29th and 30th, when people are using up their monthly budget? Or would it be that September is the end of a quarter and they wanted to get those purchases in before Oct. and the 4th quarter start?

haha, yes agreed - I think we need a few more days to decide weather a month is off to a slow start or not.

I sustain my observation. Very very slow start including today (Monday).
Hope it will take off as the month continues.
That shows how the microstock world is unpredictable nowadays.
All the best,
Michal

Sept. was a BME for me but Oct. is just dragging. In all fairness though... beginning of Sept. did the exact same thing. Mid Sept. kinda opened wide up for me for about 7 days in a row. I am pulling for Oct. to beat Sept.

It's the third business day of the month. I wouldn't worry too much.  Smiley

I can't complain about October so far. My dailys are up and even had a fair amount of weekend activity. If this pace follows, could be my BME.

Yep!

Slow start generally, but for me also September was worse than August(BME)...

Also yesterday was better than today...

P.S.

Fotolia is my the biggest problem, every month worse and worse...

October is going regular for me.  FT isn't bad, good sales, however too many subs.

I'm very encouraged by Oct so far.  SS, FT and DT doing especially well.

My big disappointment for the past several weeks as been StockXpert.  It was tearing things up for several months as my #2 site, and for the past several weeks, it's been #5.  I'm still getting the JupiterImages and Photo.com sales, so the mix of my sales there is the same, but StockXpert overall is only doing about two-thirds what it used to do, while the others are all showing healthy increases.

Borg, I second your acknowledgment that Fotolia is starting to stink up the place.  It has gone from really nice for me to just a hassle and totally not worth the effort.  They reject EVERYTHING and sales have plummeted.
