The only thing that really matters to me in the end is revenue. Even if a site is super easy as far as up;ad etc, if it makes miniscule or no cash, what's the point?

Fotolia is the one that makes the giant * sound for me. Low sales, hate their upload. The rest are fine for me.

IS and FT are the biggest pain to upload to but as they both are always in my top 3 for earners then it's worth it. Places like BS and 123 I wouldn't bother with if they weren't so easy to upload to.
As Stormchaser says the only thing that really matters to me is earnings.

They all make money for me also but 123 and BS make only about 2% of total sales.

It's really weird how some people have FT and IS as their biggest sellers, and other SS and IS, and then BigStock etc.
I've seen a common pattern between threads across the forums where it stands true: Different strokes for different folks.

I'm applying again at FT today. Really hoping they'll accept my application then hoping they'll be as good to me as SS has Wink

this poll truly is significant as it indicates that there is really not one standardized
"good site" .  which is good, because where the ones you swing, for some of us they  stink, and vice versa.

Another way to look at this poll, is to realize that photographers in general are not happy with the treatment they get from the agencies, or they feel unsastifactory with the stock photo industry.

123RF for sales.

FT for relationship with contributors (my earnings are good).

I thought of voting SS, for it being the king of subscription, but as I am not there, I didn't.

Adelaide

I hate when I can't predict what will be rejected, and one of these sites is specialist in inconsistent rejections. Who am I talking about? Can someone tell me? Smiley

That's easy, FIBTOLIA...err Fotolia, the only agency to actually lower commissions for contributors

I know that diff sites favor diff photographers depending on images etc but to see such a similar trend from so many people must show that something needs to be done about these sites. I agree totally with the inconsistent rejections

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that there's a Big 6 site missing from the list. Maybe it was felt that absolutely no one would select StockXpert is their most unsatisfying site?  Grin

I strongly agree with the site that's "leading" the poll, but just as strongly disagree with #2.

Actually, there isn't anyone close to #1 in my opinion, but I selected DT for my second choice, because I'm so fed up with their "too specific or well-covered" or "Not quite what we're looking for" rejections. But they remain my #3 earner, so that still makes them pretty satisfying.  Wink

I hadn't noticed StockXpert was not there, and definitely it wouldn't be one of my picks.  Also IS in second, I agree it is a pain to upload to it, and rejections abound, but they are good at selling at good prices.  Commissions are low, but we agreed with them from the start, right?

sorry no, definitely NOT Fotolia. i don't care how low the commissions as long as they sell the images they approve. and they do.
also, when Fotolia rejects an image , they give very specific reasons, you know when you correct that reason your next uploads will be accepted.
so I repeat NOT FOTOLIA.

I would agree with you on #1, there is no one coming close (and therefore I didn't pick two).

But I disagree on #2, I'd rather get an "this is not what we are looking for" than "artifacting" which I can't find anywhere in the picture. But overall no other than FT deserved my vote.

Fotolia does not always give very specific reasons for rejections, look at this one:

The image contains one or more technical problems:

Blurry or out of focus
Over/Under exposure
Framing problem
Over or under saturated colors
Problems with contrast
Noise or Pixelation
Quality of routing
Interpolation problem
