There is absolutely nothing that you can do except maybe produce images that would be good for book covers or calendars and even then there is no  guarantee that anybody will want them.   My els are all on totally random images.  I have never seen a pattern to the sort of images used.

I could never understand the logic of voluntarily deleting an accepted image from a site.  There is no cost to keeping it online and always some chance it will sell.  Some think unsaleable images may detract from their portfolio and somehow affect sales but I just don't see this as being much of a factor.

Yes - they say that "downloads per image" is one of the factors that has influence on placement in search on some sites. I'm not sure if it's really true but my experience with some sites (FT, DT) is that if image is not downloaded in let's say first six months it will never be downloaded anyway, so there is no reason why to keep them online. Especially if I found them bad as well. And another reason is that some clients that I work for want to see my portfolio for unknown reasons and I don't want to show them garbage.

I don't think anyone really believes that gear is worth $400K, but visually, it's a piece of art.   I think to really appreciate it you need to be old enough (like I am)  to remember vacuum tube audio gear before solid state was even available.  The soft glow, oranges and purples of tubes in a dark room.   The whiff of hot ozone from the power supplies.

Yes, old enough to use  vacuum tube audio gear(still the best) I have LUXMAN SQ-38U Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier and Luxman PD-171 Analog Turntable with B&W and  they play Miles Davis like heaven. I agree they don't worth $400K but they are mind blowing Hi-Fi combination. One of the best.

alexmk, you're hurting me, because I'm a h-u-g-e fan of Davis and of jazz in general.  If anyone tries to make you feel dumb for buying that pricey gear, just laugh, because for you it's delivering exactly what it's supposed to deliver - an experience.

Thanks stockastic. Well the point is if you listen pop or country music than computer speakers are just fine but when it comes to jazz it has to be 1st class gear.Jazz music is so demanding and complex.
Anyway, in couple of days I'm gonna watch Anthony Braxton and MILES SMILES featuring Wallace Roney, Larry Coryell,
Rick Margitza, Joey DeFrancesco, Darryl Jones and Omar Hakim.
Just to remember Miles when I was on his concert in 1986 (last one for me)
