Hi all,

Given that we have such a broad spectrum of talented photographers on this forum as well as some very good tech-savvy people, I'd like to invite you to check out my brand new website (first time I've ever done one) and I'd like for your opinions. Its not very microstock-based, I'd love to keep that a separate part, but its more for quality commercial stuff.

This is great! It's professional and very well configured... Given that fact that this is yuour first one, I can't help but wonder just what you might accomplish when you have done this a number of times... D A M N... it's good!

Get rid of Flash!

Apart from being SEO unfriendly, it's useless overhead and takes ages to download.

It´s really elegant ! For us in the 21th sentury, flash works fine

Your logo is blurry at smal size in the galleries.

I really like the way the photos load, with the thumbnails coming in on the right. I don't have a problem with Flash used like this. Thank goodness you don't have sound...I hate when people use sound on their sites.

I only have one constructive critique and this is purely my opinion, so please don't take offense. On your main page, I think your logo should be smaller. I like your logo a lot, but to me it looks a little too big for the elegance of the rest of the site. Again, if you disagree, that's ok, I just wanted to give my opinion.

You did a GREAT job for your first site! I need to rethink mine now.

Thanks for the wonderful reviews. Flash is here to stay, it works well. I'm sorry if your connection isn't fast enough to load it quickly. But then again, my files are only 50kb to 100kb - so you'd have problems regardless.

To respond to cclapper, I totally understand your point of view. I am reconsidering my logo. The reason I made it so large was because I had a smaller one and wasn't too thrilled. Perhaps something in the middle would be better. I will be testing it out eventually.

It's a very nice site, I don't mind the flash (gladly I don't use dial up anymore!).

I loved the white owl images. Would like some title/description to go with them.

The design is nice but flash sites are very unfriendly to the users. No way to provide a link to an individual page (for example if I want to point my friend to one); and also non-SEO friendly.

You have already been told about the Flash my thoughts to improve what appears to be a very well organized site is only one thing. In information I don't want to hear about what gear you use it really doesn't matter to buyers. I want to know about the machine behind the machine. Share yourself with the viewer your aspirations and dreams, as well as maybe location and other useful info. Also when you say you bought your first digital camera in 2006 this sounds rather novice I wouldn't share that with buyers I would build yourself up without sounding arrogant. Chase Jarvis is very good at this. Beautiful images and an all around strong representation.

Flash is slow, SEO unfriendly and 95% of the buyers hate it (ref: photoshelter web design study amongst 500+ image buyers - ask copy of the detailed report by email to PS).

In short, Flash is great for a site intended for other photographers/artists and to show off. It's counter productive for buyers and personal marketing.
