Different ... but you lost me on that first page.  I need some "words" to feel welcome.

Cool, I like it - looks very modern and gives a good idea about your work - which is great as well btw.

Some observations however:

* I find it quite disturbing that if I click on a photo, I do not end up with the hires version of that one but with the first one of that series only!

* I do not get the difference between portfolio and gallery - the latter one being quite empty anyway.

* whereas the portfolio works well on my iPad, I have issues with the other sections which are 'hidden' behind the navigation - for example need to close the navigation First before I can read "about mat'

* I was irritated by the fact that the text on 'about mat' is written in third person, not really personal communication I think - however the quotes are hilarious!

Besides the issues above, I really like your site and wish you a great success!

NITPICK ALERT: Watch your grammar and facts. (Yeah, yeah, physician, heal thyself). I've always found it's much easier to find other people's mistakes than my own, so get everything proofread by someone (preferably more than one) else.
E.g. you need an apostrophe in "every client's expections", conversely, you've put an unneeded apostrophe in "Wild African Cheetah's". You've mixed singular and plural in "The wild lions in Tanzania are about as amazing a creature as I have ever laid eyes on.  For the most part they sleep a lot but when they wake up hungry get ready for a show!" (how about a comma after "sleep a lot" (debatable) and a comma or dash after "hungry"?).
I doubt whether it's really "commonly" known that hippos kill more people than lions or crocs, but bracketing that for the moment, they don't "kill more people than any other animal in Africa". That dubious honour belongs to the Plasmodium parasites.

Loved looking at your safari pics  :); I never get light like that!

In defense of my poorly written script, I don't consider Plasmodium parasites to be animals.  Admittedly, I had never heard of a Plasmodium Parasite until I just googled it.

On a side note, when I was in Tanzania I had so much fear of mosquito's going in...malaria pills, I brought nets, all kinds of thought and effort went into preventing a mosquito bite.  I saw a grand total of 1 mosquito.  1.

Yeah, I've not seen any, but unlike e.g. Florida or European mozzies, they don't 'ping', and you don't necessarily feel the bite or react to the bite, which is why it's called the 'Silent Killer'. I only found out about that a few years ago and had always thought I'd never been bitten (biting insects usually swarm to me, either because my blood is at least 90% chocolate or because I'm so pale, I almost glow in the dark. You were right to be worried; people die of Malaria even in developed countries, it's not confined to poor people who can't afford adequate treatment. Unlike Florida mozzies, they can't bite through clothes, yet I see lots of people going to dinner in shorts and vest tops.

Sorry for the hijack: back to Mat's website. It's a nice work; I hadn't seen that sort of 'reveal' before.
