The 2013 Microstock Industry Survey is now live. It shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes if you have your numbers ready. You can find it here.

If you enjoyed the previous years results, please share it around (last year we had 750+ respondents). It would be great if as many people as possible can take part so we can get the most accurate results possible.

The survey follows a nearly identical flow to previous years (with a few tweaks thanks to comments) as it is nice to compare results from year to year and I feel it asks the basic questions we are wondering without taking too long to answer.

For interest, here is last year's infographic and full results

As a thank you to everyone who responds there will be a random give-away again. There are a number of prizes up for grabs. There will be one winner for each prize. Winners will be drawn randomly (using a random number generator). Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.

StockPerformer has offered a one year Eagle and one year Sparrow membership ($400 and $125 value)
ProImageExperts has offered a $500 image editing package and a $400 image editing package (2 winners)
MicrostockSubmitter has offered a 6 month unlimited subscriptions ($250 value)
MicrostockGroup will give a GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition ($399 value)

Percentage of total income. Is that microstock total? Stock sales total? Photography total (including commissioned shoots)? Personal earnings total (including the day job - non photo)?

Done. It's a fun list of questions, though I always have difficulties with those questions about "how much did you spend" (on hardware and on microstock shootings). I don't keep track of that - I don't want to get depressed

- so I did a rough estimate.

When I clicked the link it opened a new page and I am not sure if it registered my email for the draw. Can you check this?

- click that link that to update your profile

- find that email with another link to update your profile
- then FINALLY you can update your profile with the 2013 survey box checked.

Yeah, you need to answer all the questions in the survey.

About a week before the draw I'll send out an email to both everyone included in the draw and another email to everyone who isn't registered for the draw. That way it will be easy to double check that you are indeed entered.

Less than a week until the thank-you draw is made. I'll be making it Monday Feb. 3.

I sent out two emails yesterday. One confirming the people who were entered in the draw and another say there is only a week left to fill out the survey. if you didn't get an email confirming you were entered in the draw, you probably aren't.

I made sure you were both entered in the survey. The responses and the email list are totally separate so no, your answers were not lost. You just didn't jump through the right hoops to get into the giveaway. I fixed that now. MailChimp (the email service I've been using) has a complicated workflow to update your profile settings which is why there is so much confusion.
