Hello,

As so many of us are un-happy with the leading stock agencies I thought it would be interesting to discuss the potential features and benefits of "your perfect stock agency".

Which features are most important to you?

Sense of Community? financial rewards? educational opportunities?  Control of your content?

Does anyone here feel like your work is being sold to cheap? or too expensive for that matter?

I personally feel that some of the content on istockphoto's signature+ is priced rather high when considering some of the files are just snap shots. I know I'm risking being attacked for stating "some" of our work is over priced!

If you had the option of pricing your own content which price point would you opt for? Would you price basic isolated files cheaper than what is currently available or would you price them higher?

What contributor features would make you happier?

What do you guys feel about the ever increasing flow of "competition"

lovely post - thank you.

the dream/perfect agency.

one where the contract said you (photographer) produce/supply the images and we the (agency) sell/market the images. you (photographer) shoot what you shoot and we (agency) edit what we feel is stock worthy. the rewards are 50/50. you make them we sell them for maximum profit to both parties (partnership) end of story.

for some reason i am having a deja vu moment and feel like that is the way it was once upon a time.

slap slap slap, sell for as low as you can and screw them all..... (photographers)
