Title: Adobe got rid of the views statistic?? Why?
Post by: spaceofgrace on April 19, 2017, 09:47
So I can still see sales on the portfolio page but the views have disappeared... even if you sort by views. Is this a glitch or are others seeing this too?

Same here, I noticed that today.
And I sent them an email about it.
Still waiting for an answer.

Definitely not a  good move to remove the views stats. How can a producer of any item for sale know what to produce if their information on what the customer is interested in is restricted? Sales figures may the the most important thing at end of the day but it is also useful to know which images in our portfolios are and are not attracting some interest.

Log in to Fotolia and you can still see the views stats

But to be honest apart from uploading and the ability to add or modify keywords and titles there is little in the Adobe contributor side that is of any use at all.

You can't even search your own stuff

We can still see the view figures in FT at the moment but presumably Adobe will wind down FT at some stage and move operations to their own site.

Got an answer:

"We removed the View statistics from the Adobe Stock contributor portal, because the feature wasn’t yet providing aggregate views across the Fotolia and Adobe Stock websites and caused confusion.
Over the last few months our foremost priority for the Adobe Stock Contributor website has been to make the submission process as fast and easy as possible. We now provide an automatic category suggestion, more auto-keywords and the ability to upload a CSV file of metadata for easier keywording of multiple files or videos.
We are now working on improving the available statistics on the contributor portal but can’t share a release date at this time."
