I have 67 sales over the past two years adding up to only $25.00.  Am I licensing my photos incorrectly or is it unusual to sell photos for more than $2.00 a piece?  My catalog consists mostly of landscape photos.

You need to bone up on your math.  $25 over 67 sales = $0.37 per sale, which is about right with mostly subs and the occasional OD, not over $2.

SS does the licensing for you so you don't need to worry about doing it correctly.  If you want more sales I would say to diversify your portfolio and get better acquainted with Photoshop.

I'm averaging $1.15 per sale this month, that's higher than usual.  Subs bring the average lower most months but they sell a lot and that makes up for it.

You always ask such questions. I must say that you are very annoying. I do not know why I felt the need to say this, but you are very annoying. I apologize that I interfered in someone else's conversation.

Sounds about right, although only 1 download (let's not call it sale since you are licensing) every 11 days isn't so much (over a two year period). You must have a small portfolio and need to upload more (at least 1,000 high quality marketable images).

So far in November I've got 300 downloads and have earned $200, earning 66 cents average. It did help a lot that I got one enhanced for $22.50 and some singles adding up to $12 thus increasing the average.

Keep uploading!

Good luck

You do know that if you find someone annoying, you can ignore them by using the ignore button. This is the holiday season, show a little kindness towards other peoples feelings. Save the anonymous rudeness for the rest of the year.  :)

67 sales in 2 years with ss???
no, you are definitely not doing well.
with ss you get that much in one month as a newbie, that much in one day as an old-timer..

your material is definitely not microstock material...
or if you do have microstock sellable images, then maybe your keywording is bad.
but landscapes are more for artsy agencies like stocksy, offset, canva, even alamy...
as some of the commentors already point out.

even if you make still life of  tomato, apple, marijuana, onions,etc...  on white
you will surely make more money in one month than you did in 2 years with landscape.

the last para. is not being cynical. it's the fact of microstock.
boring pictures sell like hot cakes... (even hot cakes sell like hot cakes with ss)...
images that make them go "oooh, ahhh!" at photo clubs and photo exhibition are not microstock sellers.

look at the toilet paper, kitty litter, feminine napkin, etc  pictures on those boxes...
that's microstock big sellers.

good landscape sells pretty well...good landscape...
today shooting on white new stuff is totally useless, there are zillions of this photos.
sure landscape and travel of thailand won't sell well but luckily there are many country where most micro stocker if not very don't go.

I'm an engineer, my math is just fine. I never said each image sold for $2.00, I said none of the images sold for MORE than $2.00. No need to be dickish ;)

Your title for the thread is, "All my shutterstock sales are >$2.00"
Sure yanked my chain, then I saw you'd either done your arithmetic wrongly or you'd made a typo. Oddly, though I'm the Typo Queen, I guessed the former.
