Topic: Anyone selling at Panther Media?

(Read 2120 times)

I've read some positive and negative post about Panther Media on this forum, I decided to give them a go about two months ago and uploaded 40+ pictures just to see how it would work, so far: a pain in the A@# to upload to, it takes for ever to get images reviewed, very little views or customer traffic...is it worth to upload there at all?...is anyone selling anything at PM?  Huh

I been with them for over a year, but never got my whole portfolio uploaded because of poor sales.  I get a few here and there, but don't really anticipate bothering in the future.  It hasn't been worth the time invested, at least for me.

Got 11 images with them and one nice 14,97 EUR sale. I don't expect to get a payout though. Horrible uploading process and I don't fully understand the site (green light, red light, even green and red combined?, ed. tip, recommendation). Also weird rejection reason for my batch of 20-30 images. More than half of them were rejected with the reasons: "please smoothen borders. thank you" and "Please delete the white borders on each side of the image. Thank you". I didn't have those rejected at any other place, even at iStockPhoto they got accepted. They are all .EPS files and there are no white borders on the previews if that's what they mean

Edit: No they wouldn't be EPS as they don't accept them over there as far as I remember. So they are referring to the JPEG for sure.

Weren't they supposed to offering a NEW user interface by now !?  Thought they were testing it at Beta !?

God knows they need it !!!   Sad

Too much like hard work, at the moment !

I am pleased with the site so far . . . .  had 49 euros thrown into my account recently without warning!  The review times are alittle long but not unlike DT.

With 800 files online I have already had 4 payouts. From time to time I get 30 Euro sale, however the most is around 2 - 10 Euros...

Thanks for the feedback guys...I think I'll stay for a little while and see what happens, but unless I see some numbers I'll leave it at 40+ uploaded pictures  Wink

Does not sound very promising  Undecided

they were promising the new super-easy upload system since summer'09, keeping saying it's "almost there" but it is still not there Sad

I don't have time to upload all my portfolio through their current system - only having 97 photos at the moment.
I am getting a couple sales per year with them. I guess it would have been higher if I upload all my pics.

Panther is doing better than crestock for me (much fewer sales but higher amounts and total) and much better than mostphotos (which resulted 0 sales so far) or yay (couple 2-dollar sales) - but at the same time much worse than bigstock or 123rf.

I still hope they will get a better uploading system at the end...

Very  few  on-line  there   (5  so  far).  No  views  -  no  sales  so  far  (but  then  again  they  haven't  been  on-site  long).  I  think  it  worth  waiting  out  a  little  longer.
