And why couldn't you shoot that shakily on a dSLR or p&s and leave it to the deeziner to add several colour casts and take down the contrast?

Anywhere close?

I think that behind all this 'mobile photography' nonsense, what they really want is photos that look like they were taken by young people.  I am totally serious when I say this.

I hope somebody posts here the first "duckface" that gets uploaded to istock.  :D

Ya know...Their is something really cool about strolling around HomeDepot taking tons of photos with your iPhone on high-res mode, right in front of sales staff  and they never say a word.

Try that with a 5D and 24/70 glass  8)

Yes, I am using my 20 lbs canon 1D Mark IV with my 10 lbs 24-70mm lens - as mobile as an M1 Abrams Army Tank...

The phone is just a tool. What they seem to want is a certain look...

You hit this one on the nail I believe. I backup my kids iPod photos for posterity but perhaps its time to look through them. They can earn their own pocket money then :)

I've had a digital tilt-shift image accepted at DT. I submitted it just to see if it would pass and it did, and has sold a few times. Neingrenze 5000T, very small and plastic but easy to carry and kind of fun. These are some samples, not mine...

Expedited review if 3 people in the photo have visible tattoos.

As kinda expected, I am getting and inspection beat down on my iphone shots for compression artifacts, noise, color distortion, and over filtering. My initial images were approved but that looks like a fluke.

Oh well, back to the 5D.

Anyone else getting alot of mobile shots accepted or rejected?

Nice stuff Sean. What's your acceptance ratio for your mobile stuff? I'm about 40% to 50%.  Those sky artifacts are killing me. Are you downsizing? I've been looking for a downsizing script for Photoshop CS6. Can't find one. BTW - there is nothing in your mobile photo light box at the moment.

4 for 4. :)  No downsizing.  Straight from phone, except for the sign one which I cleaned out a logo thing.

The search needs to update before the banner will work...

No, the banner's working.  :)
I've found I have to save banners twice before they'll show. It's not time; save them twice, I can see them immediately, save once and I can't see them after half an hour.

Maybe other people can see them, but not you?
Oh, who knows? Certainly not their IT people.

No, I mean they just got approved - the search won't show the images until the next index.

I would say a mix of A and B.  they're in focus and exposed ok.  They're obviously filtered and slightly noisy, but I assume that's part of the aura they're looking for with these.  They shouldn't know it's me when reviewing afaik.  Hopefully when the zoom works buyers will be able to inspect as needed and maybe the keyword will equal segregation into a collection.

Eta: she's not one of my usual models, so they wouldn't associate her to me.  I am trying to do some phone shooting during my regular shoots so they may recognize those.

Today's phones (not just iphones) have filters built in so they could be straight from the phone with a phone filter applied. You pick your filter then shoot and you get what you get. Different results with different filters. Instagram is in the keywords so I'm assuming he used that iphone filter.

I think he means that he didn't do any post-processing (correct me if I'm wrong).

Wow.  You learn something new every day. Probably most certainly what he means then.

Yes, they're shot with the instagram 'camera/filters'.

Interesting, so (b).

I phrased it imprecisely though and should have said different standard not lower as I dont believe minor technical flaws necessarily mean an image is bad but, then again, Im not an IS reviewer.
