Hi,
I wonder what the best microstock video / footage agencies are. Today I'm a contributor at the following agencies:
- Shutterstock
- iStock
- Fotolia
- Dreamstime
- CanStockPhoto
- Bigstock
- Depositphotos
- 123RF
- Pond5
- Alamy
- Veer
I hope there are some video contributors at forum who can help me :)

Pond5 for me. They have had a problem with review times lately though that has taken far too long to fix, so I'm not as confident about them as I once was.

I haven't bothered uploading much to videoblocks because I thought that they might not be good when they have a larger collection. New sites can do well for people before everyone uploads but then earnings get diluted.
The only other site I get regular sales with is shutterstock. CanStockPhoto were selling a few but they slowed down. Alamy wouldn't accept me and I didn't bother with the other sites because people were saying they didn't sell or the amount they pay me was far too low.

Portfolio size about 550 - 600 clips.
Monthly total revenue earned about $500 - $1500
Shutterstock is the best performer.
Pond5 have always been very nice with regular sales.
Videoblocks have been doing very well for me - no complaints at all.
Dissolve have been a bit poor over the past few months (probably Videoblocks taking a chunk out of their business). But the people there are very nice :)
iStock - I view them as a neccessary evil - I tolerate them.
Fotolia A bit dissappointing but I get the odd sale.
123RF - I felt that they abused my trust a bit too often, I pulled my portfolio.
Clipcanvas - Never had a sale in 3,5 years.
Canstockphoto - very poor sales.
Motion Elements - occasional sale, no curation, strange interface.
Revostock - still owe me money after they went bust.
Thats just my experience though... ;)

VB is completely dead for me. Haven't had a sale since Nov. I agree with Sharpshot that as the collection grows/grew sales get diluted. My port is nothing special and I am probably competing with a lot of contributors for everyday stuff. I think those who do well have a better grasp of the video market, and know how to produce commercial material or VERY DIFFERENT, HARD TO REPLICATE clips. Good for those few.

I am fairly new to Video, but after extensive research across many forums and websites I started contributing to these:
Shutterstock - obviously
Pond5 - my content has only just been accepted after months of waiting for it to be reviewed, so can't comment on sales
Videoblocks - hope it stays as it is, already earned more in 3 months than some of my image agencies in 3 years :)
Fotolia - they'll grow under Adobe, better to be there.
Dissolve - only testing them now, missing ftp is a problem for my workflow.
Motion Elements - hard to navigate, problems uploading, might get ditched soon
123rf - only testing yet, but not looking good - problems with uploading large files, long review times, haven't reported any sales yet.
Pixta - I've read on some blog they generate some sales, so testing - no 4K though.
Depositphotos - easy to upload, but they have yet to earn my trust.
Declined:
iStock - I am loading my 4Ks into their ESP portal, but will only submit them if they introduce fair pricing for 4K - if ever.
Clipcanvas - no sales reported by what I gathered
Canstockphoto - no 4K, low prices for small files, haven't heard of any sales lately
Dreamstime - very low prices, haven't heard of any sales
Videohive @ Envato - too many reasons not to join them. Mainly, $8 selling price for HD?
I haven't heard of anyone selling footage on Bigstock or Veer. Do you get any sales?

I don't have that many videos online (about 120), but see that these are without doubt the best footage agencies for me:
- Pond5
- Shutterstock
- Fotolia
Istock and Dreamstime is under 8% of the total revenue for videos. For stills it's different .

I agree with what has been posted.
However you might want to give DepositPhotos a miss. Their footage sales are somewhere between dreadful and non-existent.

Well congrats pkphoto. My experience is the opposite. Are you pricing your work in the microstock range of $79 HD or $199 4K or competing on price? Obviously good content and content for that market helps. I have basic ham n egger clips, so I know a lot is my content subject matter.

If I'm not too invasive, can I candy ask pkphotos to share his/her ME portfolio?
As far as I understood, ME has a different market and, since I'm from Europe and my models are all caucasians, I doubt I'd have much of appeal for them.
But still, very curious!
