Hi guys!
I am here to segnalate a serius problem with buy-photo.eu microstock agency.

I have subscribed and uploaded thirty-six photos to test buy-photo.eu in January 2008.
In June I were earning only two Euro so I decided to close the account; so, late June, I fill in the site form to comunicate my closure request. Result: no answer from buy-photo.eu.
Early August I resubmit my request but, up till now (6 October 2008), no answer again.

Can someone help me?
Do someone know another way to contact buy-photo.eu?

First, check their contract. Is there something like a minimum obligation time?

Check social networking sites (xing, linkedIn etc.) if there are contact persons listed...

Otherwise, you could notify some stock sites (like "Selling Stock", microstockdiaries etc.) if they watn to investigate that story.

Bye,
Robert

Thank you Robert for your concern.
I have looked for information on the social networking sites you have suggested but nothing about buy-photo.
Now, I have three e-mail addresses found on buy-photo.eu site in the "about us" page. I'm going to write one more time. If I have no reply I'll notify my problem to the stock site you mention.

About your mention on "obligation time" this is the only phrase I found:
"The User and Buy-Photo.eu may finish the cooperation and close the account without giving any reason in writing. After closing the account all the User’s files will be removed form www.buy-photo.eu.".
It looks simple! ...by now just "it looks" .

I hope to post good news soon. Thanks again.

seriously, if you only had 36 photos and they earned you 2 EU,
i think that's impressive. if you contacted many of the experienced stock photographers, they will tell you that 36 images are not enough to get you any sales.
so be realistic.

first of all, my buy-photo account have been closed. Thanks to BP team.

Thanks to Robert for his support.

HI hali!
You are right, but I earned 2 euro in the days following the uploads, when the pictures where shown in the home of the site... 10 mounth lather my earning where ever 2 euro. Even though it is an hobby I have no time to upload (etc.) for so little money. I'm realistic, do you think?

Before to go over... I am not a big uploader. My works often, not ever, requires days to became images (maybe I'm a turtle). So, in one year my images have grown from 0 to a little more than 200. A little portfolio where 36 photo are 1/7 of the total, a little portfolio that - speedometer aside - sells good.

Personally I think that my "big six" MS sites are less than six (ever more realistic).
On CanSP I've earned 7,75 $ from november 2007 (100 photos) and on BigSP (same subscription time, now 160 photos) I'm reaching my first 100 $ in this days. To be realistic I'm going to close CanSP. I will push ahead BigSP to understand what to do ...I've never well understood BigSP and maybe I am not conform for their customers.
On others big six I'm satisfied enough. I'm working to improve my sales and I'm growing constantly. On IS I've a small experience to pass judgement. IS is another world but, it seems, is taking off.
Thanks Hali for yours advise.
