Nonono, you have it all wrong.  M is for Moron.  P is for Professional.

Just keep it on 'P' and get that nice tapestry bag and yellow camera strap.  That's the way...  Wink

Hi Rubyroo,

Thanks for the tip that completely explains why every time I take a photo of a person they look like an idiot. P from here on out I wanna be a Pro. By the way MWAC has a great Face Book site I joined today the only problem is some people don't get its a gag so you have to be careful not to accidentally offend someone Grin

Best,
Jonathan

Watched the first one................somewhat funny. You can tell it's a spoof cuz she speaks on camera fluently and with little mannerisms to give you the idea she is a housewife. After one minute of the next one (#6) I got bored and turned it off.......... not remotely funny. If people are convinced by this stuff, then it's easy to see how simple it is to fleece them with Nigerian/Russian 419 scams.  Grin

No problem Jonathan.  I'm sure you'll make it to 'Pro' one day - just forget everything you ever learned and you'll be fine Cheesy

Amazing that people don't see it's a gag.   The 6th vid uploaded yesterday didn't appeal to me so much - but I enjoyed the one on accessories (surely that one makes it very clear!).  Also the one on marketing (I have met many people who walk around with 'ROCKSTAR' in their head.  Anyway...  I'm off to buy some earrings.  Wink

One word: creepy. Reminds me of the days where everyone who had PowerPoint was automatically a "designer"

I thought the new Canon 1d mark V was too expensive until I saw it had an Awesome Value mode. That's what I'll use.

She's got some very solid advice in there, but the really frustrating part about it is, I now know I never will be a Pro Photographer. I've been looking at my Canon camera for the last half hour but there is no little dial with a "P" on. I am failing at the very first step....

Only, I bet 50% of all micro shooters have probably watched this garbage and decided to become a pro photographer. Whats the bet? Cheesy

* me I just spent 5k $ to upgrade my camand 2 months working with my new gears, lighting and lens, making sure I learn and understand all my manual settings...

Had I known with this video that I just needed to TURN THE DIAL... I would have started massively submitting stock photos!

Hell now that I know this I'll print myself a P t-shirt... The world is mine!

never used the P, I was thinking it was a Programmed mode, it ain´t?

P actually stands for PUNT! It's used when you can't get anything else on your camera to work right.

It's the P on top for "Professional" which is one step better than "Green A" but I can't put on the forum what that stands for.  Wink Sorry but if you have a P&S and don't have a dial, you can't be a "Professional" yet. You'll need at least a Rebel or G# something with a wheel on top.

If you want to become a professional at sports you need to move the dial to "Little Running Man" and there you are. Now you're a Sports Shooter!  Grin (photo vest and floppy hat are required dress apparel, so start saving for those too.) Like the camera bag, fashion is very important in looking Professional. LOL

There's more cameras out there without a dial than just P&S...

Actually, M(asculine) exposure is overrated, except when it's necessary. This spoof is one very laborious joke.
