Topic: Crestock - is something going on?

I've been bad-mouthing Crestock lately, saying in a number of posts that Veer has leapfrogged over them and I was thinking of cutting Crestock from my upload schedule.

But over the past week, my sales have exploded at Crestock (relatively speaking).  I had a $13.50 day late last week, yesterday did $4.75 and today $3 so far.  I've been there for about 6 or 8 months, with a port of under 400 images that has been slowly growing, and nothing like this has happened up to now.

Anyone else noticing a burst of activity?  I wonder if they just launched a big marketing campaign?

It might just be a spurt after the summer slow down.  I haven't noticed it with crestock but my sales are way up on some of the other sites.  I haven't uploaded to crestock in a long time and wont until they raise the $0.25 subs commissions.  Even if they do increase sales, they are likely to cost us money because they might hold back other sites increasing subs commissions.  I don't think it is a coincidence that istock decided to pay only $0.25 for subs from photos.com.

Same here.  Lot´s of sales this week.   I was whining at the end of last week here about low sales. It helps...

What about Shutterstock, who seems to be moving up the fastest? I have stayed away from the $0.25 without an opportunity to sell for more. If you get a low figure from a sub, its often balanced (a little at least) by direct downloads. Do you play on Shutterstock for quarters?

No, I get $0.38 for subs with shutterstock, they increase commissions as your earnings increase and they sell lots more.  If crestock did that, I would start uploading again.

lately I have more sales there too like one sale a day, which is amazing from crestock. but I stopped uploading looong ago and I don't think I will upload again as this .25cent royalties and all other issues drives me mad.  having said that I wish they were doing better and i hoe they were good enough to take stockxperts place, who seems to be slowly dying.sad to see this is happening:(

Is no one else seeing any sales larger than $.25?  Two of my last sales there were for $3 and $4.50 ea.

I had stopped uploading there until a week or so ago when things picked up for me.  Now I'm playing catch-up to get a few months worth of stuff up there.  But they're a relatively easy site to upload to, so I'd encourage others to hop back on board.  Maybe they're doing more advertising, or maybe some buzz is building... but something is clearly stirring things up there.

I wish I hadn't stopped a while back, otherwise I'd be seeing an even bigger upswing now.

I will start uploading again, as soon as they pay a reasonable amount for subs downloads.  I get far too many $0.25 to get excited about the odd PPD sale.

I don't see any increase in sales and with so many of us, it doesn't mean much when 1 or two people get a few more downloads.  Perhaps your photos are being featured or the buyers are using their credits before moving on?  It could just be ebb and flow.  I like crestock but if they keep subs commissions that low, I am more likely to leave than upload again.
