Hello people,

I need your help. I am all the time doubting where to go on with editorial. What you think? Micro is new to editorial and i dont know if it makes sense. Alamy has more experience and images are automatically distributed to local agencies like Mauritus Images (Germany), ImageSelect(Belgium), BEW(Poland) and so on.

Thanks!!!!

Which one you mean?

Real Editorial (Newsworthy. Events, celebrities etc)
Fake Editorial (General imagery you couldn't get release. Like crowds, shops etc)

I send the fake one to Shutterstock, Dreamstime and 123RF. Alamy is just a waste of time for me.

Not sure what you mean by "Micro is new to editorial", SS has been selling editorial for years.

I submit to both.  Iconic images of a place/event/subject that I think might sell a lot I send mostly to the micros, anything of a more specialized nature or that I think might have limited demand I send to Alamy.  And of course if you do HDR or something like that you can't sell them editorial so those have to go RM.

The only way to know for your images is to split them - send some to the micros and others that are different to Alamy and see where you make more money.  I sell a lot more RF than RM on Alamy but one or two decent RM sales can make more than a lot of editorial RF subscriptions on the micros.

here's something interesting i just found out about ss editorial.
with alamy, etc editorials are accepted just about anything.. events, etc no problem.
but ss even if you went to say crossroads, loolapooloza (spelling???) rock in rio,a megadeth concert, etc
where anyone can take a picture with smartphone or camera, ss will not accept your editorial
unless credential-ized.
