Are there any sites using category system that implemented this feature? It just drives me nuts that I have to go thru each pictures and set some category which is not really used for search but helps site to catalog pictures.

yep canstock is the only one i know

however, stockxpert you don´t have to use the catagories if you don´t want to

and i guess you know but for those who don´t..
crestock, 123rf, and snapvillage don´t have catagories.

I think BigStock does categories automaticaly from keywords. Like if you have "bird" keyword it will select Animals-Bird category.

A year or so ago there was a lot of talk about categories being nothing but a huge HUGE waste of our time. I don't recall anyone, seller or buyer, who would miss dumping categories altogether.

So. I hereby move to eliminate all category requirements forthwith from every site I contribute to.

Do I hear a second?

Unless i am missing it, i have never seen that!.. but they do have a 'take catagories from last image' option.

Dreamstime & stockxpert,  also have a bulk catagories tool.
