Anyone else on this group new to Microstock?  I have between 20 and 50 photos on five different sites and have made three sales total.  My pictures don't suck so I know it will pick up with time and more of a varied portfolio.  Does anyone (beginner or veteran) have any success/failure stories or advice for others like me?

I'm currently posting to IS,DT,Foto,BS, and 123.  I'm waiting to resub to SS in a week or two.

Thanks.

Welcome to this site.
I am a newbie as well, being only online with micro for 2 months, found out about this site 1 month and half ago, very friendly and helpful site.

Since then I have 1336 pictures at 6 sites, with total downloads of 1014, so pretty happy so far.

But I do consider drop BigStock, they only give me 18 downloads with 160 pictures:(

The best advice I can give is the two 'V's ... Volume and Variety.

Take as many ('Volume') good quality pictures of as many different things ('Variety') as possible.

And there's another meaning to Variety, too. Try to find new ways of looking at familiar things. There are millions of photos of flowers out there, but if you can find a new way of looking at them ...

It's not easy, I know. But that's the satisfaction of it.

Thank you for the welcome and the advice.  I'll keep plugging along.  I was posting to photo sharing sites for fun before this and  MS is hobby income (well not yet) for me.

One of my current sample portfolios is here:
