Title: Getty Moving Forward

I like these changes and I am sure something very similar will come to iStock soon. http://press.gettyimages.com/getty-images-unveils-innovative-collaboration-tool-boards-and-updated-ios-app-to-empower-the-creative-industry/ (http://press.gettyimages.com/getty-images-unveils-innovative-collaboration-tool-boards-and-updated-ios-app-to-empower-the-creative-industry/)

Reading that gave me a feeling of Déjà vu, and lo and behold here it is http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/shutterstock-introduces-sequence-281607261.html (http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/shutterstock-introduces-sequence-281607261.html)  Shutterstock not Getty, video not photography, but much the same blurb.

The basic question... Good for us or bad for us?

Looking at all of the recent changes, I would anticipate iStock being fully rolled into Getty soon.  Search is a big clue. I went to do a search the other day on iStock and I guess I hadn't been in awhile because I no idea that they'd gutted the search tools. It's impossible to find anything with the search limitations ... so I went to Getty to compare and their search tools are now really good.  I don't think it's an accident that they've traded places.

What would they do with all the Indy content and all of the Editorial content? They've been pretty adamant they don't want to contaminate the Getty collection with cheap content.

Can't see it happening anytime soon.

I don't see it as much of anything. They have stuff to sell; will this make them able to sell more of that stuff and/or for a higher price?
