HI
I'm a lit desperate, this world is new to me. I've tried to enter into istock, but they reject all bunches of 3 that I send Cry so I give it up

Another one; 123rf, it is very easy to get accepted but I believe that it doesn't have much sales... I can't see how many views my pictures have :S opinions??

and dreamstime or fotolia, seems similar, can anyone give me 2 cents about which of two are better, better sales, more customers, better serach engine??

thank you very much!!!!

on fotolia and dreamstime i think you will get varying opinions.  I have been suggesting people go to dreamstime first.  I think the layout is a little nice and easier to see your portfolio stats, and downloads and such.  Sales (according to the graph on the right) are a little better at dreamstime but of course it will vary for everyone and the types of images you have.

You should upload some images to the Critique forum.  Just make sure you watermark them first.

There are enough of us here to give you a wide variety of opinions on your images, and determine why they aren't being accepted at iStock.  Trust me when I say that if your images have technical faults, they won't be accepted at Dreamstime or Fotolia either.

Also consider signing up with Shutterstock (I can refer you  Grin if you click on my link below this message).  Shutterstock has a very active critique forum.  You will get some great feedback there.  And if you get your image quality up to speed, you should apply to Shutterstock.  Most people list iStock and Shutterstock as the top 2 microstock earners.

For me DT and FT are about silimar in sales. Be aware that DT has a clause where you must leave your images there for six months.

Am I just imagining things or does there seem to be a major increase in new people struggling to get accepted lately?

I would agree with Dan, and let the experts have a look and your failed images.

If a site rejects your images it is not personal so don't give up, but look to resolve the problems by making it a goal, a few months of self learning stock photography will raise your game more than anything else, only if you are prepared to take advice.

Don't worry to much about getting images uploaded and sales, but focus on getting them right first the rest should follow, SS and IS have good critique forums where you can look at other contributors rejected images and learn a lot from them as well

When I started I had loads of "good images", but when I understood the quality requirements I struggled to find enough to use as acceptance images, so it was back to looking and learing and basics.

I knew they were "Good Images" because my friends and family said so, and now they think they are "Just Fantastic"  Grin
