I am new to stock tiny portfolio, but I was wondering how you find where your images were used, is it just luck, or the way you search online?

With Google there is another UK photographer and artist with the same name "David Cox", so this brings up loads of pages, search for Adeptris and it is mainly postings in forums, so any tips would help.

The only site I know that gives us clues about this is Fotolia.  I have found many of my images in use searching for the buyer's company name.  Other than that, only if you're lucky that they give credit to you.

Adelaide

Well, there is a group on facebook, I don't know if you are on there but it is called "Stock photos in use" and there are a lot of links to credit pages that have loads of people on there.
That might be a good place to start.

Kiya, thank you for this link. My name is Michael D. Brown and it is such a common name that it got 58,800,000 results on a9.com. But to my surprise I was number 1!
My little microstock image site (michaeldarcybrown.com) beat out :
-wikipedia page for Michael D. Brown, the discgraced FEMA director
-wikipedia page for Michael D. Brown a Canadian Liberal politician, a former Speaker of the Ontario legislature
-and many, many others

You made my day!

..surfin out on the web using my name,  my name on the sites, my photo's names,  I've been able to dig up a few.  DOT websites, road maps, a lobbying group in D.C. ...  Sometimes you get lucky and find one here and there.    Cool=tom

I just tried a9.com.  My name came up a few times, but only with referrals back to LO, 123 & IS.  No specific buyers.

A lot of known sites with my images, a lot of sock photo sites I'm in, but I managed to find an image in use I hadn't seen before:
http://sheridansunonline.sheridanc.on.ca/jan_17_2008/sports_treadmills.html

This is one my best sellers in StockXpert.  I hated to see it selling at subs!

Another one here.

Well, not in fact, but it is listed as one of the images used in the CD.

Adelaide
