So here is the story. As a microstocker, i get paid through paypal. Everything was cool until the day i noticed a decrease in my paypal balance. No transaction was made but my money decreased! For example if i had $100.56 it changed to 100.35 without me going through any transaction. They decrease in a way you cant notice. But i made sure i was right. I screen shot my balance and the day after i checked and i was changed!! No doubt about it. Anyone here ever faced this issue cause i don't know any more money transaction companies better than paypal when it comes to reliance.

It isn't reflecting changes in currency exchange rates is it? Perhaps showing you what different balances are currently worth in your chosen currency?

if anything changed, its either a bug/mistake or change of exchange rates. what currency did you get paid in? i have a dollar account, but any foreign amount paid will sit in the foreign balance, the dollar balance is updated based on the current exchange rate, if the foreign exchange rate changes, then the dollar amount reflects that change

i highly doubt paypal skimming off cents to line their pockets

It's really not "scary". Exchange rates are a real thing that change daily. If you have a home country currency that is different than the currency you are paid in (probably US $) then you will experience changes in the total value of your balance based on a given days rates.

There's a distinct lack of details here. You say you have a screen shot. Was the balance in another currency? If so the dollar amount will obviously change constantly until you actually change it into dollars (or visa versa as you only use dollars as an example I think?).

ya it is probably the exchange rate thing.

in microstock we tend (probably everywhere?) to get paid in USD but if you're outside of US then paypal will probably show you in your home currency, so in my case CAD, and i do notice a little bounce around depending what the exchange rate is doing.

if you want to make sure that is the case here, screen shot your USD number and not the other one if its in a different currency.

I'm in the UK, my PayPal balance fluctuates ever day depending on what the GBP is doing against the dollar. One day it went down by 40 dollars, then slowly crept back up. Confusing at first, but makes sense now.
