It seems we're free to shoot lego bricks without having to be afraid of copyright infringement.

The European Court rejected the copyright claim by Lego:

Would be interesting to see whether the agents adapt their policy in regard to lego bricks...

you still can't shoot lego without removing the "lego" logo from each individual nob  :)
You could shoot similar blocks without the lego brand name though

older lego bricks don't have the trademark on it, I still have mine from my childhood ;-)

My generic lego blocks pictures were all rejected last month. Don't bother shooting them till they let us know it is allowed.

at this right moment we could.. I guess on the highest court the trademark can be approved but until then there is a gap I guess..

We always could, copyright and trademark are two different things. A lot of people (agencies included) don't understand what a trademark is.
