Hell. just noticed 2 people earning more than $16,000 a month!

I had to laugh when I just asked ISP for my $100 payout and there is a warning they will not payout more than $10,000 in one hit ...

yeah, there are definitely some people doing pretty well in microstock.

Funny there isn't more people in the middle though.  Lots of hobbyists in the low $$ then a handful around 1000-$4000 but not many between $4000-$16000

Not a BME. It was on track, but agree Easter lost momentum. Only missed by a few $$.

But BME at BigStock, IS, and DT.

The first 6 hours of April are a little slow :-)

IS - 47.5%
SS - 24.5%
FT - 10.4% (only so high because got one $50 ext. license sale, otherwise FT sucks for me)
BS - 7.8%
SPX - 6.0%
DT - 3.8% (very low this month, but overall my #3 site)

Not really anything new, I think I will end up going exclusive at IS when I hit gold (expecting late 2009).

For the first 2 weeks in march I was really excited that i was going to shatter my bme. Over the course of the month I grew the size of my (small) portfolio by 8%, and saw a 22% increase in earnings compared to last month. Mainly from SS which appears to be far more influenced by regular uploads.

In the end I fell short of my best ever month (April 2007) by less than $1.

IS         29%
SS        28%
DT        19%
FT         11%
BS          8%
123RF    4%

the remaining 1% was shared between LO & StockXpert

My March and 2008 numbers, with 2007 for comparison:

Site 2007 2008 Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
IS 26% 29% 22% 37% 26%
DT 16% 21% 30% 16% 18%
StockXpert 20% 18% 19% 12% 22%
FT 13% 11% 8% 11% 16%
BigStock 8% 6% 8% 5% 5%
123 4% 5% 5% 8% 3%
FP 3% 3% 2% 3% 4%
CanStockPhoto 2% 1% 1% 1% 1%
LO 2% 2% 3% 1% 2%
Scan 1% 1% 0% <1% 1%
CS <1% 0% 0% 0% 0%
Zymm<1% 2% 3% 5% 2%
rest 4% 1% 3% 1% <1%

Overall 15% below February, which was my BME, but 2nd best in the past 6 months.

A big drop in IS (-40%), but then Feb was my BME with a very exceptional result - March was anyway my 2nd best in the past 6 months.  DT was stable, StockXpert increased a lot (also 2nd best in the past 6 months), FT also increased (2nd best month ever - amazing given that I had no EL), BigStock was slightly down.

123RF is back to its average, after a very good BME in Feb, 2nd BME in FP again (behind only a month with an EL). One sale in Zymm making me about the same as seven in LO.  Few sales in CanStockPhoto, no sales in CS for the 3rd month in a row.  One sale in Scan and one in Albumo - that's it.

Regards,
Adelaide

Third BME in a row.  I blew away last month by $400, and all I did was upload about 40 or 50 new images.

Gotta love microstock...

Here's mine:

IS    31%
DT   19%
SS   15%
SX   15%
FT    12%
BS     8%

It was an unusually good month for Dreamstime. I was surprised that both StockXpert and ShutterStock were tied this month.

SS 31% BME 1 EL (up 4% over previous BME in May)
IS 17% 1 referral bonus (down 44% from previous BME in March '07)
FT 15% BME 2 EL (up 34% from previous BME in October)
DT 10% (down 19% from previous BME in February)
StockXpert 9% (down 17% from previous BME in October)
BigStock 5% BME (up 9% from previous BME in March '07)
123RF 4% (down 31% from previous BME in November)
LO 2% (down 67% from previous BME in July...ouch)

Overall BME up 8% from previous BME in June.

Percentages calculated by earnings per work day instead of overall income for the month.

It was sure nice to have an overall BME again!  Woohoo!  It's been tough battling back from the substantial hit I took when IS changed their best match algorithm in March '07 and relatively stagnant sales across the board.

The upward trend I started experiencing in late Feb. at SS continued, but the Easter holiday slowed things down for the rest of the month.  Ended March with a bang and had my highest sales weekend ever.

IS still hasn't shown any signs of recovering, but at least my sales are now fairly stable and predictable.

FT moved into 3rd place for the first time ever and was just a few dollars short of beating IS.  Two ELs pushed it past DT, but even without them it would have been my BME as is.

DT dropped in part because I had an EL last month, but if I'd had one this month it would have only been a few dollars short of a BME.

StockXpert showed some improvement with credit vs. sub sales.  This month will be interesting, because I opted out of sub sales on April 1 for a test.  And, what's great to note is that on April 1 I smashed my highest sales day record at StockXpert by a 96% increase.  The extra sales today should cover any losses from sub sales for the month.

BigStock is plugging right along.  Steady and predictable as always.  This BME month was helped by my first $3 commissions.

123RF went down in large part, because my one and only referral expired.  :-(  He's a vector artist and has excellent sales, so I took a pretty big hit by losing him.

LO was in the toilet, but still somehow managed to reach 2% of my overall sales (normally it's between 3-5%).

I'm also with Crestock and Canstock, but have quit uploading to both and will be pulling my portfolio once payout is reached.  No sales at the midstocks or macros.

SS: 47% - BME
IS: 37% - BME
DT: 9% - $1 off BME
FT: 4.6% - BME
BS: 1.8% - just won't take off.

Overall a BME by a long margin, although still just shy of the majic 1K mark... Maybe next month!

Mellimage and Ldambies -

Are we still racing to $300?   :)  I'm going to be close in April.  My projection is I will fall just short of it.  Sales have been a bit disappointing, but earnings are way up due to EL's.  Will let you know next week how it plays out.
