How was your March ?
Mine was good.
A BME for both downloads and dollars. Over 2,500$ with 550 downloads.
About 4,000 photos.
-
BME at iStock, all other agencies are down compared to February
-
Huge BME, I had a BME at all top 4 agencies, at SS it was BME +over 50% (it's usually just 5-10% over previous BME), FT is becoming stronger, DT was great this month as well, IS was 3rd BME in a row and I had a BME at Alamy and DP (because of an EL, otherwise it was equally sheatty as all the previous months). Earnings out of the TOP 4 remain pathetic, no growth whatsoever, just peanuts. Stopping to upload to those sites doesn't help, but it also never really did. From now on I'm only tracking the top 4 agencies.
March was absolutely amazing!
-
It was my best month in a year.
CLO - 25%
SS - 20%
DT - 11%
MY - 11%
CanStockPhoto - 9%
123 - 8%
DS - 4%
BS - 3%
GL - 3%
Zaz - 1%
The rest were below 1%.

A great month. My BME was November 2011, which was an extraordinary month, but this was my best month since then, and I'm chuffed about that :)
1. Shutterstock
2. iStock
3. Veer
4. 123RF

You don't contribute to DT and FT or they just don't work for you? I'd find it pretty amazing that 2 mid/low tier agencies could overpass them...
-
BME at IS in both earning and DLs.
-
BME at SS and 123RF
Close to BME at DT
Average at CanStockPhoto, FT, and DP
( I am not an IS contributor)

Indeed I do :) ...but I only listed my 'top four'. Usually DT is in my top four, but this month it came in fifth as Veer really excelled for me this month to a level that surprised me too! FT fell out of my top four a long while ago. What sales I do get at FT give such little return - whereas at DT and Veer I tend to sell mostly non-subs. 123RF has been performing very well for me for several months now.
-
- BME with over 1300$ (2192 sales, 872 at SS)
- from March 2011 +200%
- have travelled in Ireland for 20 days, so only 25 new pics at SS
this month (previous month) earnings %
SS 34% (37%) (1EL)
IS 16% (15%) (1EL)
123RF 8% (11%)
FT 8% (10%)
ISIGN 6% (6%)
Z 5% (2%)
DT 4% (5%)
81%
XX 4%, XY 3%, PM 3%, DP 2%, PD 2%, CanStockPhoto 1%, MP 1%
16%
OTHER 3% (11 agencies all below 1% each)

It was a BME for me as well (by about 10%). Mostly thanks to Shutterstock, but Fotolia and iStock weren't too bad either. I don't have my graphs made yet, but I'll post them later.
-
Compared to Feb 11: dls down c8%; $$ equal (well, 27c more if you're quibbling).
Compared to Mar 10: dls and $$ up c20%, which isn't too bad considering I had 2 ELs last March and 0 this month (0ELs this year so far).
+1 GI sale (from 11 files) and 4 Alamy sales.
-
It was a good month for me. Started off pretty slow, but the last couple of weeks picked up steam. Hope this bodes well for April.
BMY for sure, gaining 9% on February. Still down 5% from last March, though, due to some really heavy losses at IS and FT. BME on 123RF though, by a wide margin, and also BME on Bigstock. Nearly, but not quite BME on SS.
Here's the breakdown, along with gain or loss over March 2011
ISP 27% (-27%)
SS 29% (+49%)
DT 14% (-4%)
Fot 10% (-47%)
BigStock 5% (+9%)
123 4% (+43%)
Misc. Others: 11%

Excellent month, thanks to SS and 123rf. The other sites had about the same result as March last year, even Istock!!. The only real disappointment came from DST, with a loss of 10% compared to March11.
I did not reach a BME in dollars, but thanks to a better euro/dollar rate than my last BME, it was a BME in euros.

Wow. Some nice growth on Shutterstock there.
-
Yes, brillant month! BME, at SS and with DT and FT, in second place, way up, DP, CS and Veers, doing good as well. IS, not all that but its not surprising since I removed my better sellers there.
Getty-RM, also way up.
-
BME ;D
-
BME, but IS and SS slightly lower than in February.
IS (31%) returned back to the 1st place, SS (30%) second, DT (10%), 123RF (4.6%)).
-
BME :)
(excl IS)
-
BME by a ton. BME at several of my top agencies, including SS, DT, GR. Made over $100 at my own site, which is pretty astonishing. Managed to get $11 at StockFresh and thus break the $50 payout barrier.
istock ranked 7th on my list. VectorStock actually beat istock for me in March, just by a few bucks. I don't know if the carnage at istock and the huge growth elsewhere are related. But if they are connected in some way, I say 'keep it up, istock'! :D

BME @SS
BME @DT
BME @123RF
BME @BigStock
BME overall
-
BME by a MILE on almost every site. Total income up 1.5x last month, my previous BME. 2012 is looking good! :)
Oh and of course, Shutterstock was the standout. INCREDIBLE improvement there over the last 6 months.
-
Average to poor - but then I haven't uploaded anything for a month as other projects and broken cameras have got in the way.
-
I had a great month as a newbie. BME Shutterstock outdownloaded but iStock gave better $return. Unfortunately I was busy doing other paid photographic work and haven't yielded a lot of stock images from those jobs, so I'll be curious to see if my tiny port can sustain current earnings.
-
I started uploading images to microstock sites a year ago and to SS 6 months ago. Every month since I started uploading to SS has been a BME. Others oscillate a lot. This month is a BME at SS, IS, FT, DT, 123..!
-
Only about 50% compared to last month when I had a lot of ELs and a big sale on Alamy, but still very strong and should be a second BME once iS sub sales are in. SS #1 (BME for DLs but not $$$), then iS, 123, DT and Canstock. BMEs on FT and DP at #s 6 and 7. Others much lower but hanging in there. No ELs anywhere for the first time this year but overall can't complain.
-
iStock exclusive. March 2012 compared to:
2011: DL -46% $ -21%
2010: DL -65% $ -27%
-
BME.
Mar 2012 was up 8.0% over Feb 2012.
Mar 2012 was up 45.1% over Mar 2011.
Fifth year as independent.
-

Congrats on that! My own site pulled in over $100 in March too, for the first time. Sales there seem to be gradually picking up steam. And it is the most satisfying money I have ever made :D
-
A good month for me, but not spectacular. Considering the fact that I was mostly out playing and not processing or uploading it was pretty nice.
the top 4 were:
SS
Veer (BME here)
DT
123rf (BME - but he RC total was still too low to not get a cut next year)
-

Congrats to both of you. It is nice to see other people doing well with their stores.
-
Hey everyone, my breakdown was as follows:
Shutterstock 64% (lots of ELs in March)
Dreamstime 15%
iStockphoto 10%
123RF 6%
Pond5 3%
CS + GL + Veer + BigStock = 1%
Good luck in April!

Way to go Lisa!

+ ♥ for independents

IS - Best month of this year. Not good, but not very bad either.
SS - A new record in download numbers. Too bad I had only 2 EL's, hence no BME. Solid month.
DT - Same as usual, DT is very steady for me.
FT - Very weak
Veer - Bad month, no ELs
-
BME at SS, Big, YAY
2nd BME overall, and almost 30% better than 2011 average which included my BME
-
BME for me at IS for $$, but download numbers are down. Also, BME at Pond 5 and SS for video sales (but still both very low numbers).

Oh that's great news Simon! I often wonder how those who made the switch to independence are doing, and it's wonderful to hear that it's been so successful for you. Congrats!
Congrats also to those who are doing well with direct sales from their own sites. That's great to hear!
-
BME with SS ,+ 40% more income compared with my previous BME.
BME with FT (by far my second earner) +25% more revenue than my previous BME.
DT, steady decline in sales and revenue with every month :(
123RF normal.
The total revenue pie :
SS - 65%
FT - 20%
DT - 10%
123RF - 5%
-
;D
BME at SS
Up at IS\123\dsp
down at DT\FT\P5
-
best month this year and more ELs than ever.
-
Solid. ???

This must be the latest I have ever posted details of sales and earnings - but my excuse was that I did spend 2 weeks in England and was too busy taking photographs....
March was very good - just $15 short of my best ever, with fine performances from Fotolia with $106 and 123RF with $115. Neither site has ever been above about $70 before. Would have been a great month if iStock hadn't fallen back from around $270 to just $212 for the month.
More graphs and text on my blog as usual, but here is the main graph of growth in earnings. I have around 2700 images on line - some sites more, some less.
