Hi all,

Im new to this and have uploaded to a few sites.

However what I have found is that I am constantly checking to see if my files have been approved/downloaded/viewed etc.

I have read various other forums and have come to the conclusion that I am hooked along with alot of others.

To help me feed my addiction I searched around looking for some sort of program to watch all the sites that I submit to and found this newbielink:http://www.microstockwatcher.com/ [nonactive]

This seems like a fantastic idea and I was was wondering has anyone else found things similar that we could try before this is completed?  I am so impatient and would like to see one which works now.

I have the Istock widget which is good but multiple site would be great.

Thanks Tristin

tristinh - My company created MicroStock Watcher.  Thanks for your interest and your compliments.  The Mac OSX 10.4 version is ready now and the Windows Yahoo! Konfabulator version should be done soon.  I'm hoping to release it next week.  If you use a PC, please be patient for a few more days.  If you use a Mac, I would invite you to give it a try.

Best regards,
marcviln

Melissa - We will have the Windows/PC/Yahoo!/Konfabulator version ready very soon.  We know Window people want it, too.

Please hang in there and check back next week!

BTW - You have a great website!  Super images and smooth layout.

Thanks,

well this site has something similar also in the works. Homefully soon at at the top where you see the word Dreamstime, you will see the headings of the major stock sites, as well as your downloads, and earnings.

just thought I would bring this back to the top, any new on the windows version.

I see the Mac version has been running a week or so now but no news on the windoes version.

Any mac users that have tried this your feed back would be good.

Thanks

Thanks for your patience.  The Window (Yahoo! Widget) version is now available on our site (www.microstockwatcher.com).  We were working out some cookie and firewall issues but we believe the application is stable now.  Best regards, Marcviln

Oh my this is great!  I have this program on my computer now...and it saves me to much time...I don't have to go to each site and see what my current earning are I just click the refresh button and I get stats on 6 of the sites.

It is a big time saver for me!  I LOVE it!

I would tell anyone who asks me to get this program.

What would be great is to have this info installed on top of this page, where the DT sales already are.  Would it be feasible?

Stupid question... where it says Dreamstime ID on the top, how do you enter your information to get it to go & fetch those numbers?  :-[

I downloaded and installed the program.  It is nice, and well worth the limited amount of money it costs.  However, the program could be seriously improved by tracking two additional items:

1. Grand Totals on all columns.
2. Daily Downloads

Personally, I use the IStock widget to be notified when a sale takes place.  I also run all my agencies in separate tabs in FireFox so that I can watch daily sales.  The currently collected information is nice. But even more important are DAILY downloads and notification of those downloads.  I want to know when I make a sale, so that I can go look at which image sold.  It makes microstock fun.  Since I am only up to about 225 images, it will be a while before I make any serious money, although the $200.00 per month I am making now is nice.  So, to make myself feel better about the time I am spending taking, processing, uploading, and keywording all these image, I need some recreational sales viewing.  Give me DAILY SALES!!!!  I'd pay more than the $15.00 USD for the items above.

Warm Regards,
Digital Darrell

Suwanneeredhead, just put your DT id in your profile, and then the total sales show up (not the money).

Love the Microstock Watcher!  Is anybody else having trouble logging into iStock?  It just sits there and goes round and round trying to log in.  I have double-checked the username & password... wondering if it has anything to do with their recent upheavals.

I have a friend who is an internet security analyst and i had asked him to make me a yahoo widget just like this!  I guess we were a little too late, guess he didn't need the money!

Thanks Madeleine... i had gone into my profile but couldn't find it so I just dug deeper to find the dreamstime ID field.  Those are daily downloads, right?  Because mine says 0 right now (its early).

it is total downloads, but it is only updated once a day, (to relieve stress on the dreamstime site)

we are sort of talking about both things.  About this forum (the stats at the top) - that is what CJPhoto was referring to (i think) and also the program that you mentioned.

If you don't already have the Yahoo Widget engine you need to install it.  It's free.

 URL:  http://widgets.yahoo.com/

you have to have this for it to work

Anybody having trouble getting Microstock Watcher to fetch the stats from Shutterstock?  I haven't changed my password, and the stats are showing in the Firefox browser thingy, so i know the login information is correct.  All i'm getting is the 2 dashes ( -- ) across the stats for Shutterstock.

They're having trouble with their servers.  The forum's all messed up, so maybe this problem is related.

We are aware of the Shutterstock problem and are looking into it.  It may in fact be an issue with SS rather than the widget.  I will post something here once we have identified the issue.  We thank everyone who has downloaded the software.

Thanks marcviln... we love it, and I believe you may be right that it's on the side of the SS server... even my firefox extension is having problems with them.

Looking forward to further releases (with other microstocks on them)! Y'all are the bomb!

As I predicted, the problem was on the Shutterstock side.  They switched their login mode from https to http.  We have modified MicroStock Watcher accordingly and it seems to function properly now.  The new version (1.3 for Dashboard, 1.2 for Yahoo! Widgets - no functionality difference, just version numbers) is available for download at http://www.microstockwatcher.com/download.html

Phil - I apologize for the delayed response.  I emailed you a working code.  Thanks for your patience and for purchasing MicroStock Watcher.

YingYang0 - The iStock problem may have been related to a broader server issue they had yesterday (reported on this forum and in others).  Please check it again; I have double checked it from my end and it appears to function.

Nope. Still not working for iStock. It works for the other sites, just not iStockphoto. It is 8am US central time here.

Update: It's working now. It was my fault, didn't read the manual so didn't know I had to delete the name/password, restart the widget, then retype it information in .

Having to update the software will probably be a common thing.  Everytime one of sites changes their log in system or layout the software will have to be updated.  Obviously they have little control over it.  My only suggestion would be to implement automatic updates in the program.  That way it makes it easier to keep on top of it.

Hi!

I'm on version 1.5 and luckyoliver.com always gives me an error. Does anyone else have this issue?

StockXpert doesn't seem to work either... :-(

Thanks,

Hi all,

due to the frustration with microstock watcher (support didn't reply to my e-mails either) and because I like programming, I wrote my own software to receiving stats:

http://microstockmonitor.unfolded.com

There is also a dedicated forum on Microstock Monitor in this forum (in the software section).

I'm looking forward to see you there.

Ah yes...and Microstock Monitor is of course free :-)

All the best,
Michael
