Some business decisions are tougher than others. I am sure you thought about this a great deal before making the choice. I am sorry for your efforts not paying off as you had hoped. I certainly know the feeling. Just remember there are a lot of places to make money in photography than stock. You don't even have to make money off it if you love it.
I love golf and my oldest son said " Wouldn't it be cool if you could play pro dad " I said NOPE. I love golf to much to ruin it making it my living. ( I also suck at it big time

You keep taking photos and keep your passion up for what I imagine is / was something you love. I think if it was a true daily frustration for you that inside of a week or two you will be very happy with your choice. If you really love photography maybe now would be a great time to go back to school and take a class or two in Photography or Art history or Design. That would be my choice.
