Title: PhotoCase---Any sales?
Post by: oscarcwilliams on April 23, 2018, 21:30
PhotoCase--Any sales?  Maybe it's a waste of time to upload?  I can only upload (10) images a day at a time.  How do you increase that from (10)?  Thanks.

They pride themselves for their "photocase style", so prepare yourself for a 90% rejection rate... 100% if you only upload microstock style images.

In other words, they try to only sell good photos?

I understand. But has anyone made a sale in 2018?  Thanks.

They are looking for photos of very unique style. Most of your photos that you submit to other microstostock gonna be rejected. Once you have 100 photos accepted, the daily upload limit increases to 100/day. Good thing it, you can upload via dropbox and just put the photos in their folder and they import what your daily limit is ..

Is it worth? Well, I definitely made way more $$ than on some other low earners with just 5-10% of my port there. My RPD is higher than on most of the other agencies. What I don't like, that other contributors can download the photos for free (for each accepted photo you get some credits you can use to "buy" other files), but well I sometimes use photos from there too.

Edit: I have a few sales there every month.

No, it´s all very random. They pick what they like most and reject the rest. If the review queue gets to long... they clear it by rejecting everything. If you upload the rejected images again, it´s very likely that at least some get accepted. So it´s not about "objective" quality.

14 downloads in 2018. BUT - as dino already mentioned - some of them are FREE downloads from other users.

Is it worth it? What's the "style" they are looking for?

So what’s to stop other “users” from downloading freebies for their friends, family or anyone else? What a bizarre thing for a company to allow.

I Like there Tag. "Stock Photos that don't Look Like stock Photos"

About time.

Yeah, but in many cases they look just like stock photos elsewhere; and trying my usual searches shows the keywording must be about as bad there as it is elsewhere.

What they accept is pretty much a crapshoot even if you submit what you may think meets their “look”

Sales are also slow
