I've been using Pixvue to add keywords and for the most part was very happy with the freeware.  Somehow I deleted my copy but when I search the web to download another I get the message that the software is no longer being maintained -- just a screen and no site.

Is it just me  Huh  Looks like I'll need to find a replacement.

Not sure how big it is but I might be able to email it to you??

Alternatives is Microsoft has brought out their own version.  It is similar.  Problems are it takes a while to load up the first time.  Someone also said it talks back to microsoft??

I am currently using prostockmaster.  Works good and has a generate feature (pretty hit and miss).  Not using the upload anymore as the 5 limit is an issue.

Thanks CJPhoto -- I'll look into the MS product .  I'm not a fan of the background talking some software does (Adobe and MS are two that seem to do it in all their products) but who is?  I just wish I knew what they were saying  Cheesy

I just found it on versiontracker.com. Looks like it is still available for download.

I like Exifer, and it's free.

I use Irfanview however when I want to add keywords in a specific position or reorder them.

Thanks for the link.  I appreciate you looking and posting.  Bad news, however, it crashed my computer -- not sure why but I'm not going to download that copy.

I deleded pixvue also when I was attempting to clean up my hard drive. I tried system restore and was able to recover it. Have you tried that. Go to the the date before you deleded it.

thanks for the suggestion but I don't know when I deleted it - it was just gone one day  Huh

I've been using the photoinfo (mentioned earlier) - I do like that the keywords are not in alphabetical order.  Cannot seem to modify >1 file at a time.  Really don't like that it doesn't "remember" keywords you've used before.  I'm such a bad speller that this is becoming a pain in the ash  Grin

If you guys want to try Exifer:

http://www.friedemann-schmidt.com/software/exifer/

I like it a lot.  You can copy information from another file.  It doesn't sort keywords alphabetically.  The only prolem is that I can't add a keyword in a specific position, so when I need to do that I go to Irfanview.

Adelaide
