A lot of my old content from 2005 has found new life on new agencies. they might be just 6 Mp, but most agencies accept that as a minimum.

And many series, including lifestyle, that never sold on istock for whatever reason are doing really well in a new environment.

basically now when I upload..everything sells...somewhere.

It is more work supplying several places, but it really makes you feel free that all your files have a chance to be appreciated.

And if one of the agencies messes up and drives you crazy...just ignore it for a while and focus your energy elsewhere.

But finding your flow in the big world takes time.

I believe we all have doubts about such things. Mine is totally opposite than yours - recently I started considering whether it would be better for me to move from SS to iS exclusivity. In my case, although I am not exclusive, I still simply can't find the time/energy to submit my content to multiple agencies and in the end it's like I'm "exclusive" to SS.

Each one of us will have different results, there are simply too many parameters to take into consideration.

And that's the bottom line, plus we don't know what will happen with agency shenanigans even next month, far less two years down the line.
So much is in the search placement.

hi!

THe stock market is saturated of photos. Begin now in agencies is hader than ever, is a market problem, not only istock.

Dont quit, only try improve quality and get more files in signature + collection, best paid and exposed.

Maybes aye, maybes naw:

At best we can say Sig+ has the potential to be better paid via Getty (but we only get 20%), until the high paying Getty buyers discover they can get the same files much cheaper on iS.

Why not with fotolia? They pay fully exclusive artists up to 63%.

You could try it by giving them a few hundred exclusive files and see how they sell and if you dont like the results after a year, you can delete it all or just set them back to non exclusive.

Obviously if the exclusive images dont sell, it is not worth it.

But once you are locked into istock, you have to remove everything from everywhere, this means if you ever change your mind you really have to start from scratch.

I enjoyed being exclusive for many years. I just dont see them ever recovering their previous position and believe the market for a very long time will be split between Shutterstock, Adobe and Getty.

Whatever you do, good luck.
