Title: Receipt/bill/invoices from microstock sites
Post by: panicAttack on February 20, 2016, 04:27
Greetings

I need to know is there any way for contributors to get receipt/invoice each month(or each requested payment) on sites SS, IS,DT, 123RF

If I remember when you request earning (convert credits) from fotolia it is available to download, but dont know for any other site.

Thank you!

So, how contributors deal with their accountants about income from different stock sites if there is no receipts?

Why not?  i am not talking about tax gatherer or someone from goverment i am talking about bookeeper  or accountant that i pay to take care of all my income/spent money.
Maybe my English is problem here.

That's what I do, but I also take screenshots of payments and purchases, in case HMRC decide to audit me somewhere down the line.
I even, whenever possible, take screenshots of the payment conversion to UK£ on the days when payments came through, as PP's rate/charges mean the amount I get is lower than official conversion rates might suggest, and my accountant warned that might trigger an audit.

Paypal (if that is what you use to get paid) records all payment transactions.  Very easy to see the payments you received from each site.

Today I talked with my accountant.

She told me that I am the one who need to make receipts not agencies (dont need to send recepits to them, but for legal purposes in my countries) because I'm the one who is receiving money from them. Ok it seems logical.

So... what we here need for receipt to be legally good in my country(EU) is my personal/company information and my VAT(or my company VAT number) as well as agencies information with their VAT numbers.

Do USA agencies have their VAT numbers and is it available somewhere online or I need to ask all of them for it?

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?

Thank you very much?

Alamy being in the UK has this from their website:
VAT Reg No. GB 718 2941 23
Company No. 3807789

US/Canada companies have nothing similar so you can't put it. May take a while to convince your accountant of this (mine just couldn't believe it at first!) but it is true!

I download all my PayPal earnings for each month and calculate it that way. If they send me a 1099 I deduct it off my PayPal download. Put the PayPal earnings (that don't have a MISC 1099) in OTHER EARNINGS on your schedule C.
