Hi  :)

I recently applied to contribute to a photo agency which sells only editorial images.

There are a couple of things I don't understand and ask for your support:

When asking if they sell their images as RFeditorial or RM they said 'neither'.
I don't get that. As there are no information about licenses for clients on their website I can't go into that further.

I mean this is an issue because I can't upload RF images at one agency as RM to another and vice versa.

My question is if images aren't sold neither as RF editorial nor RM how are they sold then?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I really don't know

You'd better ask the agency - nobody can answer that without looking at their terms.

Which agency?
Why would you want to join them?

I don't want to make the name public, well I want to join to sell images, they appear in quite some magasines, newspapers  etc. but I have really a problem understanding their system because information is lacking

any idea concerning RF, RM and?

Do they require image or artist exclusivity?

A typical forum guessing game

OP just give us some details what's so secret about this agency anyway

sorry I didn't intend any game but didn't want to complicate things even more.

Meanwhile I stepped back from my application because I don't understand what they are doing.
The german agency is imago.

I had a couple of phone calls with them getting information but finally what was written and what was said on phone wasn't the same - as far as I understood it though.
One of several issues is that there is no transparent pricing system. Obviously they negotiate prices with clients. So it's up to me guessing to what prices my images are sold. They gave me a sort of vague idea on phone but nothing written not even on their web site. As the minimal pay out is 250 it may for someone starting at the agency take at least a year before getting any information about which images were sold for what price.

Another point is the question as what they sell RM or RF. Reading the general business terms I think they sell RM but I never got a precise and definite answer to my question. Just the information on phone "neither RM nor RF". welllllllll......

boiled down unfortunately very very confusing and I decided to leave it.

has anyone worked or is working with imago?
